chore(release): v1.4.44 — REG-11 dashboard summary fix (iOS Home tile sparkline + value)
iOS-operator-blocking hotfix for REG-11 — Home dashboard tile renders neither chart nor latest value for BP / Puls / Körperfett when the most recent reading is older than 7 days. Root cause was in `/api/dashboard/summary` SQL gates; `latestIn7d` + `sparkBuckets` both required `measured_at >= sevenDaysAgo`, which returned empty for sparse accounts, leaving the iOS tile with `latestValue: null` + `sparkline: []` to render from. Detail-screen (`/api/measurements/series?kind=…`) escaped because of its broader window. Server-side changes: - `latestIn7d` → `latestEver` (drops 7-day filter; DISTINCT ON returns latest reading EVER per type, bounded at N_metrics rows). - `sparkBuckets` rewritten via ROW_NUMBER() OVER (PARTITION BY type ORDER BY bucket_start DESC) so the trailing N daily buckets per type render regardless of age, bounded at SPARK_DAYS × N_metrics. - BP + Pulse metrics.push gated on `latest || allTimeCount > 0` like BodyFat already is — accounts with zero readings ever no longer get empty placeholder tiles. - 4 new regression tests in summary/__tests__/route.test.ts cover sparse accounts, zero-data accounts, within-7d guards. Other develop work bundled in this release: - W4-QoL — copy nits. - W5-WORKOUTS — user source priority threaded through write-time picker + batch route. - W7-WITHINGS-RELIABILITY — response classifier + sync hardening. - W8-OPS — ops phase docs. - B11 — NEXT_PUBLIC_APP_VERSION build-arg routing so /api/version cannot drift from CI tag. - env-check workflow — manifest / example lockstep enforcement. Resolves PR #194 (squash-merge produced via local -X theirs strategy because GitHub's UI couldn't auto-resolve develop's post-v1.4.42 contiguous work against the v1.4.42 squash on main; resulting tree is byte-identical to develop's HEAD). |

chore(release): v1.4.42 — Knip enforcing, queryKey factory closed, iOS Workouts dedup, Withings off-response classification
Six touch-disjoint waves landed on develop before this release: - W1-KNIP — exports/types tiers flipped to enforcing-mode on main; 35 unused exports + 52 unused types triaged to 0/0; shadcn surface + zod-infer contract types scoped via knip.json ignore-block. - W2-ZOD-MULTI-ISSUE — `returnAllZodIssues` shared helper + `/api/dashboard/widgets` 422 now returns every Zod issue + worker audit-ledger breadcrumb. 41 sibling routes documented for v1.4.43. - W3-QUERYKEY-LONGTAIL — 40 settings/medications/admin/hooks files migrated to the queryKeys factory; 9 new factory entries; ESLint rule + test-guard scope extended in lockstep. - W4-ARCH-HYGIENE — BERLIN_DAY_FORMATTER consolidated across nine sites (seven status helpers + bucket-series + bp-in-target); Suspense double-comment consolidated; doctor-report sanitiser regex rewritten to escape-form so diffs are reviewable; pr-detection- worker soft-delete filter; offhost-backup DR-intent comment. - W5-IOS-WORKOUTS — `dedupeWorkoutBatch` write-time cross-source dedup helper for the v1.5 iOS HealthKit observer ingest; dashboard tile-strip placeholder parity with the live TrendCard chrome. - W6-WITHINGS-OFF + ENV-CHECK — Withings off-response classifier (transient/reauth/persistent) + WithingsApiError typed throw + the `pnpm check-env` CLI. APNs `allOrNone: true` closes the AP-2 silent-disable gap the wave was conceived to close. No migration, no env-var change, no API contract break for iOS v0.5.4. The new `/api/dashboard/widgets` 422 envelope is additively extended. pnpm test --run green at 4815 passing / 1 skipped. pnpm typecheck, pnpm lint, pnpm knip (no --include flag) green. |

chore(release): v1.4.41 — iOS perf hotfix, soft-delete completeness, tree hygiene
Eight touch-disjoint waves landed on develop before this release: - W-INSIGHTS-HOT + W-RECONCILE-INSIGHTS — extract the timeout-stub persist helper and wire all seven *-status routes through it, closing the recurring ~14 s warm response the iOS client sees on dashboard open once the AI provider has stalled once that day. - W-DELETED-2 — close the remaining three soft-delete reader-tier gaps (export bundle, gamification achievements, doctor-report aggregator) with a five-route integration-test pin. - W-ORG — types consolidation into src/types/analytics.ts and src/types/backups.ts; prompt directory unification. - W-FRONTEND-FACTORY — queryKey factory expansion + ESLint rule lift. - W-IOS-COORD — POST /api/auth/check-user four-branch onboarding discovery, identifier matched verbatim, per-IP rate-limited. - W-SIMPLIFIER — today-intake projection helper extract; unused tx? params dropped; 13 knip-flagged dead exports trimmed. - W-PERF-OPS — v1.4.39 W-SUM legacy-NULL UNION discovery arm retired. - W-PROCESS-DOCS — pg.Pool sizing operator doc; ESLint rule formalisation; knip CI gate staged for v1.4.42 flip. No migration, no env-var change, no API contract break for iOS v0.5.4. The new check-user endpoint is an additive surface. AP-2 .p8 key is installed; SB-5 time-sensitive APNs is live as of this deploy. pnpm test --run green at 4732 passing / 1 skipped. pnpm typecheck, pnpm lint, pnpm knip green. |

chore(release): v1.4.40 — comprehensive Critical+High architecture closure plus iOS PB30 enablement
Eleven touch-disjoint waves landed on develop plus a six-axis QA reconcile round before tagging. See CHANGELOG.md for the user-facing prose; this commit message documents the wave + report inventory for release-management traceability. Waves shipped (each with a phase report under .planning/): - phase-W-POOL-v1440-report.md — p-limit(4) wrapper around the analytics 15-way fan-out + pg.Pool max raised 10 -> 20. Closes the v1.4.39 empirical-trace finding #1 (Prisma pool starvation). - phase-W-DELETED-v1440-report.md — 11 reader-tier helpers + 3 integration contracts close audit Critical Finding #3 (soft-delete invisibility) across dashboard, analytics, summaries, rollup tiers, and the Coach snapshot path. - phase-W-INSIGHTS-v1440-report.md — mood-rollup swap on the three /api/insights/{features,targets,cards} routes plus the compliance-rollup hook gap closure for bulk-projection mints; the post-QA reconcile patch closes the six remaining measurement.findMany sites in the cluster that still leaked tombstoned rows. - phase-W-INFRA-v1440-report.md — rollup helper umbrella consolidation under src/lib/rollups/* with zero orphan re-exports; lint, typecheck, knip, and 93/93 rollup tests green post-restructure. - phase-W-RSC-v1440-report.md — per-tile Suspense boundaries plus the queryKey factory-bypass walker test (extended to comparison/ in the reconcile pass). - phase-W-PRIVACY-v1440-report.md — bilingual /privacy page with 17 paired-section tests pinning the 9 SB-3 disclosure requirements. - phase-W-AASA-v1440-report.md — /.well-known/apple-app-site-association endpoint pinned to S8WDX4W5KX.dev.healthlog.app with app-ID parity assertions guarding against split rotation. - phase-W-APNS-NOTIFY-v1440-report.md — MEDICATION_REMINDER time-sensitive APNs payload (priority 10 + interruption-level) scoped via a parameterised test that pins all 6 other event-types do not bypass Focus. AP-2 .p8 install gates real delivery. - phase-W-CONSENT-v1440-report.md — AI consent receipts CRUD with append-only invariant pinned in test; revoke-then-regrant leaves both rows; idempotent DELETE returns 200 + receipt: null. - phase-W-WMY-WIRE-v1440-report.md — three previously-dead WMY readers (week/month/year) wired through summaries-slice and health-score-fast-path with a linear-composability parity test pinning the cross-consumer routing contract. - phase-W-GHOSTS-v1440-report.md — ~1 177 lines of dead code removed across 9 atomic commits; startOfUtcDay + wallClockInTz consolidation eliminates a sibling-drift risk; knip whitelist trimmed to three files pending follow-up. QA reconcile patches applied per the v1.4.40 QA round (six reports under .planning/round-v1440-QA-*-findings.md): - senior C1 — dashboard-suspense-boundaries regex aligned with the post-W-INFRA Thread 2 userTimezone-local lift. - senior H1 — soft-delete filter added to the six remaining insights measurement.findMany sites. - specialist H1 — Promise.allSettled around bulk-projection compliance recompute on both /api/medications/intake and /api/dashboard/summary. - ux H1 — compare-toggle migrated to queryKeys.dashboardWidgets factory; walker test extended to src/components/comparison/. - security M1 — consent artefact 64 KB cap enforced via Buffer.byteLength (UTF-8 bytes, not UTF-16 code units). Quality gates green at tag: pnpm typecheck, pnpm lint, pnpm knip --include files, dependencies, binaries, unlisted, pnpm test --run (4726 passing / 1 skipped). Tests 4525 -> 4726 unit + 1 skipped over the v1.4.39 -> v1.4.40 span. User-facing prose: see CHANGELOG.md. |

v1.4.34.4 — audit-driven hotfix bundle (security, UX, code-quality, docs)
Consolidated hotfix landing the findings from a six-axis audit
covering mobile security, UX + accessibility, code quality + docs,
README + discoverability, web performance, and mobile-deep responsive
behaviour. None of the changes break the public API or the existing
data shape; every fix is additive and SAFE under the v1.4.34.x web
freeze. Full audit reports live in `.planning/round-audit-*.md`.
Security
- Password rotation now wipes API tokens + refresh tokens in the
same `$transaction` as session revocation. A stolen iOS Bearer no
longer survives a user-initiated password change or an admin reset.
- `/.well-known/` proxy bypass tightened to an explicit-allowlist
`Set`. Stale `/api/auth/codex/callback` PUBLIC_PATHS entry dropped.
- HSTS gains `preload`. Withings host removed from the global CSP
and gated to the integration's own routes.
- `getClientIp` warns once per process on `TRUST_PROXY_HOPS`/XFF
mismatch + exposes a tagged helper for tighter universal buckets.
- Service worker rejects off-origin notification-click URLs. Offline
fallback body switched to a locale-neutral icon. Manifest gains
`scope`, `id`, `display_override`.
UX + accessibility
- i18n leaks closed on Dialog/Sheet close-X, ChartSkeleton's loading
announcement, and the notifications-section breadcrumb.
- Focus rings on bottom-nav, the More overflow button, and the
mobile top-bar user menu.
- Tap-target floor: Input / NativeSelect / Select / DateTimeInput
switch to `h-11 sm:h-10`.
- Admin chip-strip auto-scroll-into-view (matches v1.4.33 settings).
- List-page subtitles visible on mobile.
- Insights empty-state CTA vocabulary normalised so the link opens
the right measurement form (was silently failing for
BODY_TEMPERATURE / BLOOD_GLUCOSE / PULSE).
Mobile-deep
- `viewport.themeColor` reacts to light/dark mode.
- TopBar + Coach FAB reserve safe-area-inset-top / -bottom for
notched iPhones.
- Sonner toaster switches to `theme="system"`.
Code quality
- `SESSION_SECRET` dropped — the env var was documented as required
but never read by code. Three secrets, not four. Self-hosters
upgrading can delete the existing line.
- `toJson<T>()` helper consolidates seven Prisma JSON-cast sites.
- `db-compat.ts` gains a header docstring naming it the
schema-bootstrap path.
- Passkey response types adopted from `@simplewebauthn/server`;
`any` + eslint-disable pragmas drop out.
- Zero-TODO CI gate added at `.github/workflows/no-todo-markers.yml`.
Documentation + discoverability
- README rework: How-it-compares matrix, Apple Health + AI Coach
promoted to standalone Key-Features bullets, status block, latest
release + GHCR badges, OpenAPI pointer, three-secret Quick Start.
- openGraph + twitter cards now carry `images` and a
`summary_large_image` Twitter card.
- GitHub repo metadata: description tightened from 290 to 156
chars + keyword-front, `homepageUrl` flipped from a personal
tenant to the demo site, six generic / PII-adjacent topics
swapped for six high-intent ones.
- Five new user-facing docs: `docs/self-hosting/getting-started.md`,
`docs/self-hosting/reverse-proxy.md`,
`docs/integrations/apple-health.md`,
`docs/integrations/withings.md`,
`docs/integrations/ai-providers.md`.
- `docs/README.md` clarifies the docs tree as internal playbooks
vs the user-facing `docs.healthlog.dev` site.

v1.4.34 — apple-health import + reliability + web-freeze
The final functional web release before the iOS native client lands.
Headline work: a streaming Apple Health `export.zip` importer for
prospective iOS-migrating accounts, a server-side aggregation cache
that collapses the three hottest dashboard reads onto in-process LRU
slots with single-flight coalescing and per-user invalidation, a
broader compliance classifier with a dedicated `early` bucket so
ahead-of-window doses count as compliant, the Coach launch surface
hoisted onto every authed page with a dashboard-hero CTA, and a
trimmer Settings shelf that folds Sources into Targets. The release
also lights up the `cache.<name>.outcome` annotation on the active
wide event so production logs carry the cache hit-ratio signal
without leaking userIds.
### Added
- **Server-side aggregation cache.** A new `ServerCache<T>` primitive
(`src/lib/cache/server-cache.ts`) extends the v1.4.33 Coach snapshot
LRU shape into a reusable per-route layer with TTL expiry,
capacity-bounded LRU eviction, single-flight read coalescing, and
per-instance hit / miss / eviction / stampede counters. Wires the
three hottest dashboard reads — `/api/analytics` (slim + default),
`/api/gamification/achievements`, `/api/medications/intake?scope=compliance`
— and bolts per-user invalidation onto every measurement / mood /
medication / workout / dashboard-widget write endpoint so the next
read paints fresh data instead of waiting out the TTL. Every cache
hit / miss surfaces on the active wide event as
`cache.<name>.outcome` + `cache.<name>.key_hash` so production logs
carry the hit-ratio signal without leaking userIds.
- **Apple Health `export.zip` import.** New endpoint
`POST /api/import/apple-health-export` (synchronous multipart
upload, asynchronous ingest via a dedicated pg-boss
`apple-health-import` worker, per-`MeasurementType` ingestion
stats). Streams the upload straight to disk so a multi-gigabyte
export never lands in V8 heap, hashes the bytes inline for
content-based idempotency, and unpacks `apple_health_export/export.xml`
with a hand-rolled ZIP central-directory walker that handles Zip64
for archives past the 4 GB barrier. The parser folds every
`<Record>`, `<Workout>`, `<Correlation>`, and `<ClinicalRecord>`
into the existing `Measurement` and `Workout` row shapes — spot
rows keyed by `HKMetadataKeyExternalUUID` (or a deterministic
`sample:<sha256>` fallback), cumulative HK types collapsed into
one `stats:<HKType>:<YYYY-MM-DD>` row per user-local day to match
the iOS daily-aggregation convention. Live per-stage progress
surfaces through `GET /api/import/apple-health-export/{jobId}/status`.
An admin variant at `POST /api/admin/import-apple-health-export`
imports on behalf of a target user (cookie-only `requireAdmin()`
gate; Bearer tokens never elevate).
- **`ImportJob` schema model + migration.** New Prisma model captures
the per-upload state machine (`queued | unpacking | parsing |
upserting | done | failed`), the content-hash for idempotency
short-circuits, and the per-`MeasurementType` ingestion counters
the status route surfaces back to the client.
- **`lastSeenByType` on `/api/analytics`.** Both the slim
(`?slice=summaries`) and default slices return a per-type
`{ lastSeenAt, daysAgo }` map. The dashboard trend tiles wire 12
mounts to a new `tileStaleDays()` helper so an "X days / weeks /
months ago" hint paints under any per-metric tile whose last
sample crosses the 7-day floor. Six locales gained additive
week / month plural keys; Polish uses the genitive-plural form
that covers every non-1 count the bucket math can produce.
- **Dashboard "Ask the coach" hero CTA.** A new pill next to the
existing "Hinzufügen" / "Add" launches the Coach drawer directly
from the dashboard hero. The `<CoachLaunchProvider>` hoisted from
the insights layout to the auth shell so the drawer is reachable
from every authed route; the floating action button stays scoped
to `/insights/**` so it cannot distract on the dashboard.
- **Shared achievements query hook.** `useAchievementsQuery()`
centralises the three previous consumers — recent-achievements
card, the `/achievements` mother page, and the unlock notifier —
onto one TanStack queryKey + cache slot so dashboard cold mount
fires the endpoint once instead of twice.
- **Typed authed Cache-Control presets.** New
`src/lib/http/cache-headers.ts` module exports
`NO_STORE_BUT_BFCACHE = "private, max-age=0, must-revalidate"`,
`SHORT_LIVED_PUBLIC`, and an `applyAuthedHeaders()` helper. The
presets land at the framework level via a `next.config.ts`
`headers()` rule that stamps the bfcache-friendly directive on
every authed HTML response, restoring Chromium bfcache eligibility
for in-app back / forward navigation.
- **`scripts/print-bundle-report.mjs`.** Restores the at-a-glance
"top client chunks by parsed size" signal Turbopack dropped from
`next build`; reads `.next/analyze/client.json` (written by
`@next/bundle-analyzer` when `pnpm analyze` runs with `ANALYZE=1`)
and prints a sorted table plus totals.
### Changed
- **Settings sidebar: "Sources" folded into "Targets & Sources".**
Per-metric threshold ranges and per-metric source priority now
share one `/settings/thresholds` page so the same metric's
threshold and device-source preference sit together instead of
one sidebar entry away. `/settings/sources` keeps a
`permanentRedirect` so external bookmarks and docs links follow
through unchanged. Section count: 11 → 10.
- **Insights tab strip: vital pills collapse under a "Vitals"
parent.** Five vital pills (HRV, Resting HR, Oxygen, Body
Temperature, Active Energy) hide behind one parent pill that
opens a popover sub-list. Parent-pill active state mirrors the
URL so spatial orientation survives the collapse; each sub-page
keeps its own URL and bookmark resolves unchanged. Strip
footprint: 14 → 10 entries when every metric has data.
- **Coolify env-var audit.** `mcp__coolify-apps01__env_vars`
inspection captured the section-1 / section-2 duplicates that
have accumulated under apps-01 since v1.3.1. Audit pinned at
`.planning/round-v1434-iwa-coolify-env-audit.md`; no env-var
deletes performed (operator action).
### Fixed
- **Compliance classifier: early intakes count as compliant.** The
classifier picked up a dedicated `early` bucket (window-start
minus three hours through window-start), the `on_time` post-window
tolerance widened from one hour to three hours, and the `late`
band sits between the new `on_time` ceiling and the configurable
`lateMinutes` knob. Heatmap consumers route the new bucket
through the compliant path; the dedicated `early` counter rides
on `DailyComplianceEntry` for downstream consumers that want to
distinguish ahead-of-window from on-window intakes.
- **Compliance heatmap fallback retired.** The v1.4.33 defensive
`looksClassifierBug` fallthrough is gone now that the underlying
classifier widening removes the every-dose-very-late mode the
fallback covered.
### Performance
- **`/api/gamification/achievements` consumer collapse.** Two of
three previous consumers shared the same TanStack queryKey
literal; the third carried a per-user discriminator so the cache
treated it as a fresh slot. Dashboard cold mount fired the
endpoint twice. Collapsing onto the shared hook trims that to a
single request; with the new server-side cache slot warm, the
duplicate-mount worst case rides single-flight coalescing.
- **GHCR build fires once per release tag.** The
`docker-publish.yml` workflow lost its `push.branches: [main]`
trigger; the `:latest` raw-tag enable rule moved onto the tag
ref so each release produces exactly one multi-arch build that
refreshes both the semver tags and the `:latest` alias.
- **NFT-trace warnings silenced.** `next.config.ts` gained an
`outputFileTracingExcludes` block that narrows the Turbopack
tracer away from the `MAXMIND_LICENSE_KEY` env-access path so
the trace-report no longer warns on every dependent route file.
### Refactor
- **Dashboard analytics consumers.** The two cards that previously
decided their own freshness copy now lean on the typed
`tileStaleDays()` helper and the additive `lastSeenByType` field
on the analytics response. Mood and BD-Zielbereich tiles keep the
default `null` because they have no underlying per-type freshness
signal.
### Accessibility
- **Dashboard hero CTA hits the WCAG 2.5.5 touch-target floor.**
The new "Ask the coach" pill carries `min-h-11` on mobile and
the matching `sm:min-h-9` desktop floor so the touch target
stays above 44 px on the Pixel 5 boundary.
- **Insights tab-strip Vitals parent reads correctly to assistive
tech.** Parent pill carries `aria-current="page"` whenever the
current URL matches one of its child vital sub-pages, plus a
`data-slot="insights-tab-strip-group"` hook for visual-regression
testing.
### Internal
- **Two e2e flake windows tightened.** `onboarding-flicker` swapped
its 12-sample 50 ms poll loop for a single Playwright
auto-retrying `toBeHidden({ timeout: 700 })` assertion so the
1-2 ms race window between the analytics-pending shell and
`useAuth().user` resolving collapses to a single retry slot.
`mobile-viewport` dropped `nav a[href]` from the touch-target
sweep (the bottom-nav owns its own WCAG spec) and gated the
44-px floor on `matchMedia('(min-width: 640px)').matches === false`
so the Pixel 5 viewport never tripped into the `sm:` tier during
WebKit render commits.
- **Server-cache observability.** Every `cached()` invocation passes
an `annotate` callback that lands two keys on the wide event:
`cache.<name>.outcome` ∈ `{ hit | miss | stampede }` and
`cache.<name>.key_hash` (non-reversible djb2 32-bit hash). Ops
can grep `cache.analytics.outcome` over any time window to
compute the hit ratio per deployment.
- **AASA followups verified.** The v1.4.33 `/.well-known/apple-app-site-association`
handler serves a direct 200 on every fronting origin; Apple's
CDN has ingested matching bodies for all three domains.
### Web freeze
v1.4.34 marks the last functional release of the web codebase before
the iOS native client launches. Subsequent v1.4.x tags carry security
fixes, dependency bumps, and hotfix-only corrections. New feature work
is paused until the iOS app clears Apple review, at which point a
v1.5.0 version-bump-only release tags the milestone. The Prisma
schema head comment and `.planning/v15-strategic-plan.md` §5
decision-log row pin the freeze trigger in-tree.

chore(release): v1.4.29
A targeted performance + polish patch. The headline is a faster dashboard on data-rich accounts: the pulse chart drops up to ~5 000 raw rows per range tab in favour of one row per day, the duplicate `/api/dashboard/widgets` fetch on every mount collapses to one, and three long-running analytics reads are bounded to the trailing window the tile path actually needs. Two production regressions close — the `aggregate=daily|weekly|monthly` path on `/api/measurements` 500'd for every grain, and the same path averaged cumulative step counts instead of summing. |

chore(release): v1.4.28.1
## [1.4.28.1] — 2026-05-16 — Dashboard-save hotfix "Speichern" on the Dashboard works again for every account whose layout was last persisted before v1.4.28. The v1.4.28 retire of the `glp1` widget id left an orphan entry in `dashboardWidgetsJson` for legacy users, which made the save validator reject the payload; the resolver now filters unknown widget ids on read. ### Fixed - **Dashboard save against legacy layouts.** `resolveDashboardLayout` in `src/lib/dashboard-layout.ts` drops widget ids that are no longer in the registry before returning the layout, so the `dashboardWidgetsJson` round-trip (`GET /api/me/dashboard` → user edit → `PUT /api/me/dashboard`) succeeds even when the persisted JSON still names `glp1` or any other retired widget. ### Tests - `src/lib/__tests__/dashboard-layout.test.ts` gains a case for the retired-id filter (19/19 green). |

chore(release): v1.4.25
Largest feature delta in the v1.4.x line. Insights expands into seven dedicated metric sub-pages; GLP-1 medication tracking lands end-to-end (drug-level chart with Research Mode acknowledgment, EMA titration ladder, cadence + compliance, side-effect taxonomy, pen/vial inventory); cross-source priority becomes a two-axis resolver; per-user timezone threads through ten analytics surfaces; Withings activity + sleep v2 sync; onboarding rebuilt as a nested-route wizard; Personal Records ship end-to-end; Health Score provenance accordion; Coach runs native first-party prompts across six locales with a 1800-assertion refusal-probe matrix; OpenAPI drift gate hard-fails; multi-arch GHCR image. Migrations 0043 through 0060 are additive and forward-only. PROMPT_VERSION 4.24.0 → 4.25.0 with GROUND RULE 9 (refuses dose recommendations) and GROUND RULE 15 (refuses drug-level estimates with MDR + MDCG 2021-24 cites). ci(deploy): document the Coolify auto-deploy contract end-to-end
Two halves of the contract — workflow-side webhook (v1.4.22 C3 force=true already in place) and Coolify-side image-digest watch toggle — must both be on for tag pushes to land on production without an SSH retag. The runbook in .planning/coolify-auto-deploy-howto.md now spells out both pieces verbatim plus the verification curl + host-side fallback. The workflow gains a single ::notice:: line after the webhook call so future Actions runs surface the timestamp + sha for triage without opening the verbose log. ci: warn-only OpenAPI spec drift check
Adds an OpenAPI generation step to the Security & Quality workflow that flags drift between the Zod registry and the committed docs/api/openapi.yaml. Runs with continue-on-error: true so v1.4.23 informs without blocking; v1.4.24+ flips it to a hard gate once the registry has caught up with the legacy hand-maintained spec. ops(deploy): force=true on Coolify webhook + node-26-alpine investigation
C3 — every v1.4.19/20/21 release required a host-side `docker tag`
fallback because Coolify pulled `:latest` from its image cache without
re-checking the GHCR registry digest. The workflow now appends
`?force=true` (or `&force=true` if other params are present) to the
deploy webhook URL so a doc-only push still triggers a registry-digest
check. The complementary maintainer-side toggle ("Watch image registry
for new digests" in the Coolify application config) is documented in
`.planning/coolify-auto-deploy-howto.md` — one checkbox flip in the UI,
no code change required.
C5 — the dependabot PR bumping node:22-alpine → node:26-alpine fails
at build because node:26-alpine no longer ships with corepack
pre-installed (`/bin/sh: corepack: not found`, exit 127). Next.js 16
also still pins node 22 LTS as its supported minimum, so a corepack
workaround would put the runtime ahead of the framework. Closed PR
#162 with a comment; reopen when Next.js bumps its node-version pin.

fix(ci): docker-publish reliable on main-branch (drop qemu-arm64)
The main-branch build hang since v1.4.14 was qemu-arm64 SIGILL-crashing Next.js static-page-generation workers — `Next.js build worker exited with code: null and signal: SIGILL` at 64-66/86 pages, every time under load. V8's optimising tier emits CPU instructions that qemu's user-mode emulation cannot reliably translate, and Node 22 + Alpine 3.21 hit it deterministically. Tag-builds appeared to "work" only because they sometimes finished the static phase before the crash window; main-branch builds rarely got that lucky and looked like hangs. Marc's prod target is x86_64 (Coolify on apps-01, every other self-hosted HealthLog we know of). The arm64 image was a courtesy build for OSS users, not production. Dropping it removes the qemu flake completely and brings build time from 17-30 min back to ~12 min typical. v1.5 plan (`docs/audit/v1416-auto-deploy-fix.md`): re-add arm64 via a matrix that uses GitHub-hosted `ubuntu-24.04-arm` runners (free for public repos, native arm64, no qemu). The current concurrency-group + per-ref gha cache scope from v1.4.15 C3 stays in place. |

fix(ci): integration tests + e2e workflows green again
Two unrelated root-causes were keeping the Integration tests and e2e workflows red on every push to main since `d8c549e` (50+ runs). 1. Integration: `.github/workflows/integration.yml` had `ENCRYPTION_KEY: 0000…` as a bare YAML scalar. YAML 1.2 parses a run of zeros as the integer 0 — so the runner exported `ENCRYPTION_KEY=0`, and `decodeKey()` rejected it as "must be hex (>= 32 chars) or base64 (32 bytes)". 6 tests in admin-backups-* and integration-status failed at module load. Quoting the value forces a literal string. 2. e2e: the global-setup seeded user had `onboarding_tour_completed` left at its default `false`, so the spotlight tour mounted a full-viewport `role="dialog"` overlay (z-index 200) on every authenticated spec. Playwright's hit-test then caught the tour's skip-button instead of the intended target — every spec that clicked sidebar / quick-add / logo timed out. Setting the column to `true` in the upsert keeps the tour off the dashboard for the rest of the suite. The two `onboarding-flicker.spec.ts` mocks that fulfil `/api/auth/me` from inside the spec also need the field, since they replace the seeded payload. Workflow change is comment + quoted strings only — no secrets, no runtime cost. |

feat(achievements): dedicated /achievements page with locked/unlocked list
Pre-v1.4.15 the page silently dropped locked achievements, so the user
only saw what they had already earned. Now every badge renders — locked
ones are grayed out with a "Locked" badge, criterion hint
({current} / {target}), and a progress bar. Unlocked entries keep the
existing primary-gradient card with the "Completed on …" footer.
Achievements are grouped by a new `category` axis (medication, vitals,
security, engagement) — derived in `getAchievementCategory()` so a
metric is always in exactly one bucket. Inside a category, unlocked
items sort first; among locked items the closest-to-unlock one ranks
first so the user always sees their immediate next goal at the top.
The sidebar link to /achievements was already in place under the
user-area group; this commit only adds the new locked/grouped render
plus an e2e smoke spec that walks the desktop sidebar → click →
heading visible path.
i18n: 9 new keys under `achievements.*` (locked, criterionHint,
progressPercent, categories.{medication,vitals,security,engagement},
dashboardCard.{title,viewAll,empty}) — EN + DE. C4's parity audit will
sweep later.
Tests: +9 unit (groupByCategory ordering + page render in EN/DE) +
1 e2e (sidebar → /achievements). 909 / 909 unit pass.

feat(ci): post-publish verify workflow
Informational reachability gate that runs after `Build & Publish
Docker Image` finishes a `main` (or tag) build. Triggered via
`workflow_run` so it always observes the actual completion state of
the build, then:
1. pulls `ghcr.io/${repo}:${tag}` (proves the manifest finished
publishing — the v1.4.14 main run "succeeded" from a wall-clock
POV but the image had to be retagged on the deploy host because
main's manifest never finished pushing; this catches that)
2. boots the container against an ephemeral Postgres service
3. probes `/api/version` (smoke for the build SHA + version slug)
4. probes `/api/health` (smoke for the runtime DB/worker probes)
Every probe runs `continue-on-error: true` — this workflow is
informational, not a deploy gate. A transient registry blip should
surface as a yellow run, not block subsequent builds.
Also wired up `workflow_dispatch` with an `image_tag` input so we
can spot-verify any tag (`v1.4.15`, `v1.4.14`, etc.) on demand
without re-publishing.
Marc-status: filed as proof-of-concept for v1.4.15 phase-C2's
auto-deploy work — Coolify webhook listener can build on top of
the same boot harness.

fix(ci): docker-publish reliability — separate cache scope per ref + 30min timeout
The v1.4.14 release exposed a hard hang: the `main` push and the
`v1.4.14` tag push both fired at SHA `e5fae9bce6cb` simultaneously.
The tag run finished cleanly in 17 minutes; the main run sat on
`#26 [linux/amd64 runner 2/14] RUN apk add tzdata` from 16:14:52Z
until Marc cancelled it at 17:00:15Z — 47 minutes of zero buildkit
output. Same SHA, same Dockerfile, same runner image, vastly
different outcome.
Root cause: both `cache-from: type=gha` and `cache-to: type=gha,mode=max`
used buildx's default scope name (`buildkit`). With `mode=max` every
stage of every platform is exported to the cache; the two concurrent
writers raced on the gha cache manifest and one deadlocked on the
exporter. This is the classic "shared buildkit cache between
parallel refs" failure mode — pinned down by the symmetry of
"same SHA, parallel runs, only the slower-to-arrive one hangs".
Fix is two layers:
1. Per-ref cache scope (`scope=build-${{ github.ref_name }}`). Each
workflow invocation now writes to its own slot:
- `build-main` for branch pushes
- `build-v1.4.x` for tag pushes
- `build-pr-N` for pull-request pushes
`cache-from` reads BOTH the ref-specific scope AND `build-main`,
so a tag built right after a main push still reuses main's
layers — just without contending on the writer side.
2. Job-level `timeout-minutes: 30`. The fastest healthy build of the
v1.4.7..v1.4.13 series finished in 12 min, the slowest in 18 min.
30 min covers a slow exporter while still rescuing the runner
automatically if buildkit deadlocks again, instead of waiting for
a human to notice and click Cancel an hour later.
Pass-rate impact in the v1.4.15 marathon: 30/60 successes over
30 days (most "cancelled" entries are by-design — concurrency group
cancels superseded runs — but the v1.4.14 hang counts as a
preventable outlier). After this commit a deadlocked run is bounded
to 30 min and a release commit's two refs no longer fight each other.

fix(ci): drop e2e pnpm version override
pnpm/action-setup@v4 fails when both `with.version` and the `packageManager` field in package.json declare a pnpm version. Removing the workflow override and letting the action read `packageManager: pnpm@10.31.0` from package.json is the canonical fix and matches the integration / security workflows. revert: roll source tree back to v1.4.0 to restore production
Production at healthlog.bombeck.io has been 503-ing since the v1.4.1
deploys started landing on apps-01 (Coolify). The container boots —
Next.js prints "Ready" and the pg-boss workers run — but never
accepts HTTP on :3000, so the Docker healthcheck fails and Traefik
takes the upstream out of rotation. A manual restart, a Coolify
force-rebuild, and a docker-compose pin to the GHCR :1.4.0 multi-arch
image all failed to bring the site back up — Coolify rebuilds the
image from main HEAD on every deploy regardless of the compose
directives.
This commit resets the working tree to commit

test(e2e): add Playwright smoke suite + axe-core a11y gate + CI (#146)
Builds out the foundation for end-to-end tests against the production
build: Playwright with desktop + mobile projects, axe-core for WCAG
2.1 AA gating, and a GitHub Actions workflow that caches the browser
download and uploads the HTML report on failure.
What lands now (public surfaces only — no DB seed required):
e2e/version.spec.ts /api/version returns shape, no auth
e2e/auth-redirect.spec.ts proxy gate bounces / → /auth/login etc.
e2e/login.spec.ts login form renders + autoComplete hints
+ invalid-credential error surfaces
e2e/locale-switch.spec.ts DE/EN cookie switch, no raw i18n keys
leak into the DOM
e2e/a11y.spec.ts axe-core fails on serious or critical
WCAG 2.1 A/AA violations on /auth/login
The four authenticated flow specs from the v1.4.1 plan
(quick-entry, doctor-report, settings-roundtrip, test-buttons,
onboarding) need a seeded test user; they're tracked as a follow-up
because the seeding pipeline + WebAuthn polyfill they require warrant
their own PR. The smoke specs above cover the proxy, the login surface,
the version healthcheck endpoint, and the locale machinery — i.e.
every path a v1.4.X regression could realistically break without
deeper UAT.
CI workflow (.github/workflows/e2e.yml):
- postgres:16-alpine service container
- prisma migrate deploy seeds an empty schema
- playwright install --with-deps chromium (cached)
- next build, then `playwright test` against `next start`
- playwright-report uploaded as an artifact on failure
Quality gates:
- pnpm typecheck — clean
- pnpm test — 658/658 pass (vitest excludes e2e/**)
- pnpm lint — 0 errors

test(integration): Postgres testcontainers + 4 critical-path tests (rate-limit race, idempotency, cascade, session) (#137)
* test(integration): Postgres testcontainers + 4 critical-path tests Adds an integration test suite that runs against a real Postgres booted in-process via testcontainers. Lives under tests/integration/, runs via `pnpm test:integration`, and is excluded from the default `pnpm test` loop so the 477-test unit suite stays fast (~1.2s). Covers four regression-prone behaviours that pure unit tests cannot validate against a mocked client: - rate-limit.test.ts — atomic UPSERT under concurrency (5/6 allowed) and window-reset semantics for src/lib/rate-limit.ts - idempotency-replay.test.ts — cached replay with X-Idempotent-Replay, expired-row purge, and the do-not-cache contract for 401/403/408/429/5xx on top of src/lib/idempotency.ts - cascade-delete.test.ts — GDPR Art. 17 erasure: user.delete wipes every onDelete:Cascade table and SetNulls AuditLog/Feedback - auth-flow.test.ts — createSession/getSession round-trip plus expired-session purge for src/lib/auth/session.ts Adds .github/workflows/integration.yml triggering on pull_request and push to main. Local Docker is not running in this worktree environment; the suite was verified by collecting all 10 tests via `vitest list` and will execute in CI. Co-Authored-By: Marc-André Bombeck <mbombeck@gmail.com> Co-Authored-By: Claude Opus 4.7 (1M context) <noreply@anthropic.com> * test(integration): rebase onto v1.4 + exclude live agent worktrees from default test scope Rebase brings PR #137's testcontainers infrastructure on top of the user-locale migration drift fix landed in #140 — the integration suite should now bootstrap a fresh Postgres container with all 25 migrations applied cleanly. vitest.config.mts also gains a `.claude/worktrees/**` exclude so live agent worktrees (which mirror `src/` while their parent agents are running) don't double-execute the project's tests against possibly-stale copies. * test(integration): boot one Postgres container per run via vitest globalSetup The first iteration of the testcontainers suite started/stopped a fresh container in each test file's beforeAll/afterAll. That works in isolation but breaks when files share a worker (`pool: forks`, `fileParallelism: false`, `isolate: false`): 1. Test file A boots container 1, sets DATABASE_URL. 2. The application's Prisma singleton in src/lib/db.ts is built when test code dynamic-imports @/lib/auth/session — it captures container 1's URL. 3. afterAll stops container 1. 4. Test file B boots container 2, sets DATABASE_URL to a new port. 5. Test file B imports application code that resolves to the same singleton — still pointing at the dead container 1. Queries fail with a generic PrismaClientKnownRequestError. Fix: move the container lifecycle to vitest's globalSetup. One container, booted once, torn down at the end of the run. Tests still get isolation because beforeEach truncates every personal-data table in dependency-safe CASCADE order. - tests/integration/global-setup.ts boots postgres:16-alpine, runs `pnpm db:migrate:deploy`, exports a teardown for end-of-run. - tests/integration/setup.ts now exports getPrismaClient() (which delegates to the application singleton) and truncateAllTables(). No more startTestDb / stopTestDb. - All four test files lose their beforeAll/afterAll boilerplate. - vitest.integration.config.mts wires the new globalSetup. - truncate list adds refresh_tokens (added in 0025_refresh_tokens). Result: pnpm test:integration → 10/10 pass in 3.9s (was 6/10 with 4 cross-file failures). pnpm test → 658/658 unchanged. ci: keep ESLint non-blocking pending settings-page split
The pre-existing settings-page monolith has multiple set-state-in-effect patterns that can only be cleaned up properly when the 2100-line file gets broken into per-section sub-components (planned for 1.4.0). Until then, blocking lint would just gate every PR. TypeScript strict checks remain blocking. |

feat(security): SSRF strict IPv4, PAT logging redaction, threshold rate-limit, N+1 fix, pg-boss SIGTERM, blocking CI
Security hardening from 2026-04-26 audit:
- SEC-002: isPublicUrl() now uses a strict IPv4 parser that rejects
leading-zero forms like 010.0.0.1, which historically slipped past
the h.startsWith('10.') check. Also covers CGNAT (100.64/10),
IPv6 unique-local (fc00::/7), and additional metadata-service edge
cases. Documented as input-time only (DNS rebinding still possible
at fetch time).
- SEC-004: GitHub PAT is now redacted from logged error bodies in
publish-github.ts before flowing to Wide Events / Loki. Adds an
escapeRegex helper for safe RegExp construction.
- SEC-006: PUT /api/user/thresholds now goes through checkRateLimit
(30 writes / 5 min, per-user) — audit-log was already there but
unbounded. Makes audit-log enumeration unattractive.
- PERF-001: insights/comprehensive route now batches medication-intake
events into a single 'medicationId IN (...)' query and groups in
memory instead of N+1 per medication. Latency was scaling poorly
for users with many active meds.
- REL-003: pg-boss now installs SIGTERM/SIGINT handlers that call
boss.stop({ graceful: true, timeout: 30s }) so in-flight handlers
drain on docker stop / coolify redeploy instead of being killed.
- LOG-001: Replaced console.log/error in reminder-worker with a
workerLog helper. Lifecycle errors still go to stderr (only audience
outside any handler context); routine init messages are silent
because pg-boss own events + Wide Events from handlers carry the
state.
- CI: ESLint and TypeScript checks are now blocking — continue-on-error
removed. Tests already were. Required pre-existing 'any' types in
api-handler.ts to be properly justified with eslint-disable comments
(Next.js variadic handler signature; the bound type still constrains
return to Promise<Response>).

feat(ci): publish multi-arch Docker image to GHCR (#88)
Issue #88's biggest blocker was that docs and README pointed at ghcr.io/mbombeck/healthlog:latest, but no workflow ever pushed an image — every self-hoster trying to follow the docs hit "manifest unknown". This adds .github/workflows/docker-publish.yml. The workflow: - Triggers on push to main, on v* tags, on PRs (build only, no push), and via workflow_dispatch - Builds linux/amd64 + linux/arm64 multi-arch images via buildx - Tags with `latest` (main only), semver (`1.2.0`, `1.2`), branch name, PR number, and short SHA — using docker/metadata-action defaults - Attaches SLSA build provenance and an SBOM to every image - Caches build layers in GitHub Actions cache for fast iterations - Uses concurrency group + cancel-in-progress so superseded runs stop The bundled docker-compose.yml now references `ghcr.io/mbombeck/healthlog:latest` as the primary `image:` and keeps `build:` as a fallback so contributors can still `docker compose up --build` against their working tree. SECURITY.md gains a Supply Chain section explaining where images come from, how to verify provenance and SBOMs, and how to pin a specific version. README's Quick Start updated to reflect that no build is needed for self-hosters. The first run of this workflow on main will publish the image; until then `docker compose up` will fall back to the `build:` block.
