Marc-André Bombeck 810a949d2b fix(ai): move the Codex slug ladder onto the gpt-5.6 line
The ChatGPT Codex backend now rejects every slug from gpt-5.5 down, so a
deploy without a CODEX_MODEL_FALLBACK_CHAIN override walked the whole
default ladder into "all configured Codex slugs were rejected". The
default now starts at gpt-5.6-terra, with its luna and sol siblings and
gpt-5.5 as the last rung.

The gpt-6 line stays out of the default: the reasoning, sampling and
vision gates do not recognise that family yet, and a test now holds every
default slug to a family the reasoning gate knows.

Marc-André Bombeck 685b46fa04 fix(ssr): keep a server render's query cache from outliving the request
Every server render left its request reachable for ten minutes after the
response was sent. Providers builds its QueryClient once per render, and
the app's defaults give queries a ten-minute gcTime. On the server each
entry the render built, disabled observers included, started a timer of
that length, and a Node timer keeps the async context it was created in.
That context is the request's: the response, the React Flight stream and
the compressed body. A heap snapshot after a run of unauthenticated
probes showed one 600 s query-core timer per request and the retained
Flight chunks, ServerResponses and gzip buffers all hanging from them:
about 150 KB of heap and 90 KB of buffers per not-found render.

TanStack Query already defaults gcTime to Infinity on the server for this
reason; an explicit value from the defaults or a hook overrides it.
AppQueryClient folds Infinity back in at defaultQueryOptions, the merge
point every observer, cache build and hydration passes through, so the
server cache goes with the client at the end of the request. The browser
keeps its configured lifetimes.

The retention test reproduces the chain without a server: a response
object held only by an AsyncLocalStorage store must be collectable after
the render's client is dropped, with a positive control on a plain client
that must keep it alive. A guard keeps client modules from building a
QueryClient themselves and allows only option-less clients elsewhere.

Marc-André Bombeck 3e8846929c test(guards): load no module graph inside a guard's test body
step-up-elevation-guard timed out under load in three separate gates
and passed every time on its own. One of its tests imported
@/lib/auth/step-up inside the test body to read the fresh-factor set,
and that module reaches the database client and the generated Prisma
client: the import alone ran against the test timeout, and how long it
took depended on the machine, not on the code under test.

The fresh-factor definitions (StepUpMethod, FRESH_FACTOR_METHODS,
isFreshFactorMethod) move to step-up-factors.ts, which imports nothing;
the guard imports it statically and the test is synchronous. Two more
guards did the same: next-image-optimizer-guard loaded next.config and
its plugins per test, and proxy-relative-redirect-guard loaded the
redirect helper with next/server. Both import statically now.

guard-dynamic-import-guard.test.ts parses every file of the guard
project with the TypeScript parser and fails on any import() call, so
a guard that needs a value imports it with the file or reads the
source; a test that must load late belongs to the isolated project.

Marc-André Bombeck 2357807706 feat(import): bring the account's own mood vocabulary along
A full backup carries the account's own mood tags, rated factors and
tag groups, and the JSON import left them out: a mood entry imported
into another account landed without every link to a tag the person had
made.

Before the entries are written, every key they or the file name is
resolved once. A catalogue tag or one the account owns is used as it
is; an own tag whose label the file states differently is kept, never
overwritten, and named in keptMoodTagKeys (keptMoodCategoryKeys for a
group). A tag the file defines and the account lacks is created in its
group, the group created the same way, within the account's caps of 50
tags and 12 groups. A key another account of the server holds comes
over under a key derived from the account and the file's key, so a
second import of the same file finds the copy instead of minting
another. The links are written through that resolution, own rated
factors included, inside the entry's transaction; anything unresolved
is still dropped and named. The import card names kept keys in all
nine locales.

The field-coverage guard now holds the backup's customMoodTags and
customMoodTagCategories to the import schema. The round trip moves a
backup to another server (the same seeded catalogue, none of the
account's rows), imports it into a fresh account and compares the
re-export, own tags, group and rated factor included; a second case
imports into another account of the same server, and a third keeps a
renamed own tag.

Marc-André Bombeck d1545cf554 refactor(jobs): keep the lane's hold grace private to the lane 2026-10-23 22:13:00 +02:00
Marc-André Bombeck 111047491e fix(medications): end every medication and intake read on the row id
Postgres returns rows that tie on an ORDER BY in no particular order,
and not the same one twice. The medication reads ordered by columns two
rows share all the time: every read that hands schedules on included
them with no order at all, medications were listed by createdAt alone
(one import writes many in a millisecond), intakes by scheduledFor (a
twice-daily medication puts every morning dose on one instant), and
"the latest intake" lookups by takenAt. A client read the same account
in a different order from one request to the next, and a latest-intake
lookup picked either of two rows.

Every findMany / findFirst on a medication table, nested includes
included, now ends its order on the id in the direction of its last key,
and schedules are read by window, then id (MEDICATION_SCHEDULE_ORDER, the
order the backup already wrote). medication-read-order-guard.test.ts
holds the tree to it. medication-read-order.test.ts writes tying rows in
the opposite order to the one each read promises, through the medication
list and today's intakes, and fails without the tie-breakers.

The parity suite's own state reader had the same gap: it sorts rows by
content with the ids blanked, and rows that tie then kept whatever order
the unordered read returned, so their <id:N> labels swapped under a
loaded run. Its reads are ordered by id, which for a cuid is the order
the rows were written in.

The JSON import's schema left the route, so its entry in the inline
schema strictness register goes; the schema module says why its objects
are not strict.

Marc-André Bombeck 7936ab9a57 feat(admin): say what a queued restore is waiting for
A restore never runs beside a backup pass or another large job: the
heavy lane puts its delivery back in the queue for a minute at a time.
The job's own row says queued for the whole wait, and the console said
the restore starts "as soon as the background worker picks it up",
which read as a stuck worker while a backup ran.

The status routes now ask the queue. A delivery the lane put back sits
in created with a start_after ahead of now, and the active row of a
heavy queue is what holds the lane. The job view carries
waiting: "backup" | "busy" | null, and the console says it waits for
the running backup, or for another large job, and since when it has
been queued, in all nine locales. A queue that cannot be asked answers
no wait and is reported at warn.

The job view and its reads move to backup-restore-view.ts, which keeps
the worker module under its size baseline.

Marc-André Bombeck 6a87810dbf fix(jobs): take the heavy lane from a holder that outlived its expiry
A hold ended only when its handler settled. pg-boss fails a job at its
expiry and fires its abort signal but does not stop the handler, so a
backup that hung held the lane for the life of the process: every heavy
job, a restore an operator started among them, went back to the queue
every minute from then on, and the only trace was one warn line after
two hours.

A hold now carries the longest expiry of the jobs it runs. A job that
finds the lane held past that expiry and one deferral of grace reports
job.heavy_lane.holder_expired at error and takes the lane; the old
handler, should it ever settle, releases only a hold that is still its
own.

Marc-André Bombeck a840e30fac feat(import): carry every field the app's own files write
The JSON import read six measurement fields and six mood fields while
the full backup and the JSON export carry twice that. A sleep night came
back as stageless rows, a range reading as a single value, an ECG alert
without its verdict, and a mood entry without its note, its level-A
values, its zone, its tag and factor links or its day context.

The import now reads valueMin/valueMax, sleepStage,
rhythmClassification and deviceType on a reading, and note, a1 to a5,
tz, factors, structuredTags and context on a mood entry. Each mood entry
is written with its links and context in one transaction, the way the
bulk mood ingest writes one. A link to a tag the importing account does
not have is dropped and named in droppedTagKeys / droppedFactorKeys, and
the import card says which. The schema moves to
src/lib/import/json/schema.ts so the guards can read it.

json-import-field-coverage.test.ts runs the JSON export and both backup
variants on an account with every column filled in: every field they
write is either read by the import or named with the reason it is not
(row ids, source, deletion records, ciphertext, sync bookkeeping), and a
reason for a field no exporter writes fails as stale. The round trip
imports each file into a fresh account and compares the re-export field
for field. The published contract is held to the runtime schema.

Marc-André Bombeck a306a8617a test(e2e): give a queued restore longer than one lane deferral
The restore shares the heavy lane with the backup pass, and a restore
that finds the lane taken goes back to the queue for 60 seconds. The
journey waited exactly 60 seconds for it. On a loaded machine the pass
the journey had just started was still finishing its tail when the
restore came in, so the restore was deferred and started one second
after the wait ran out. The wait now holds one deferral and a second
yield, and the test timeout makes room for it.

Marc-André Bombeck ce0b6a27bf test(e2e): scan the command palette once it has finished opening
Both palette scans ran axe as soon as the dialog was visible. The
dialog fades in, and a scan that landed mid-fade read every colour
blended with the page behind it: on a loaded machine the selected
option's text measured 4.47:1 against the 4.5:1 floor. The scans now
wait, bounded, for the finite animations to finish first.

Marc-André Bombeck 7405e41119 test(e2e): read the glucose journey's list filtered to glucose
The journey counted glucose rows on the unfiltered list, which shows
the account's newest page of every type. Other specs keep writing
readings to the same account, so on a database a few runs old the
reading typed for yesterday fell off that page and the count read one
short. The list now opens with `?type=BLOOD_GLUCOSE`, so it holds
exactly the rows the spec owns.

Marc-André Bombeck fd34ee13b9 fix(charts): round y ticks, calendar x ticks and labels beside the plot
The value chart's axes and labels, as drawn on a 90-day blood pressure
view on a tablet:

- Y ticks were whatever Recharts split the padded domain into, so the
labels read 57, 83, 109. The domain is now widened to a 1/2/5 step
and every tick is handed to the axis, evenly spaced and all drawn.
- X ticks were every n-th point, so their dates drifted with the data.
They now fall on a calendar grid (days, Mondays, two weeks, months,
quarters, years), each on the point nearest the grid line, and the
step is the smallest whose labels fit the measured plot width.
- The "your average" label sat inside the plot over the readings, and a
target zone's label was clipped to its first letter. Both now sit
beside the plot, in a right margin sized to the longest label.

A browser test draws the axes with Recharts and pins the tick values,
the Monday grid, and both labels outside the plot clear of every dot.

Marc-André Bombeck d5ca594bd7 fix(charts): mark only the chart's own point days in the day rug
On an index or band axis the rug placed every day that holds anything
by interpolating it between the two nearest points. A sparse series
beside a daily one squeezed a week of other days into one gap, and the
dots ran together into bars. A day now gets a dot on those axes only
when it is one of the chart's points; a time axis keeps every day of
its span.

Marc-André Bombeck 4bf4631b6a test(e2e): check the shell's bottom edge under a home-indicator inset
With a 20 px inset set through --safe-area-bottom, at iPad sizes in both
orientations and in Split View: the last row of pixels belongs to the
rail and main, or to the bar, never to the page behind the shell; the
rail runs to the edge while its account row stops above the inset; the
root carries the content colour; and the end of the page clears the
inset, the bar and the Coach button.

The Coach button is also checked against the last line of the nested
layouts (an Insights metric page, a values list, the Insights overview,
two Settings sections) at inset 0 and 20, with an ai block that makes it
render.
2026-10-23 19:44:52 +02:00
Marc-André Bombeck d2be2b181c fix(shell): read the home-indicator inset through one property
The rail, main, the bottom bar and the Coach button each read
env(safe-area-inset-bottom) on their own. They now read
--safe-area-bottom, which is that env() value, so the four always agree
and a test can set an inset that no desktop browser reports.

The app shell's root also states the content colour itself instead of
leaving it to propagate from the body. A WKWebView browser on iPadOS
(Edge, Chrome, Firefox) can keep the strip over the home indicator out
of the page's layout and fill it with the colour it takes from the root;
that strip now meets main in the same colour.

Marc-André Bombeck d3385478a7 feat(settings): switch Apple Health write-back per measurement token

Marc-André Bombeck bfa6873d96 feat(tokens): add a per-token Apple Health setting
PATCH /api/tokens/{id} sets mirrorToAppleHealth on a measurement token:
cookie session only, the caller's own tokens only, revoked ones included,
any other token refused with tokens.mirror.not_measurement_token. It
stamps mirrorChangedAt and audits only when the value changes. The mint
accepts the setting (off by default), the token list returns it, and
GET /api/tokens/measurements counts the EXTERNAL readings no token
reaches.

Marc-André Bombeck aab2e0ae7d feat(sync): re-deliver Apple Health write-back changes
Measurement upserts in /api/sync/changes carry appleHealthMirror. A new
measurementMirror domain delivers { id, appleHealthMirror } for the live
readings of every token whose setting changed past the cursor, keyed on
(token.mirrorChangedAt, measurement.id). Switching the setting writes the
token row only, so the readings keep their updatedAt and syncVersion and
nothing keyed on them recomputes. The domain is additive inside the v2
cursor and is left out of the retention expiry, since its watermark is a
setting's age, not a deletion's.

Marc-André Bombeck 8d10e5ab94 feat(measurements): resolve each reading's Apple Health write-back
A reading sent with a measurements:write token keeps its EXTERNAL source
and now points at the token that carried it (measurements.ingest_token_id).
Every stored row answers a server-resolved appleHealthMirror: true for
WITHINGS, IMPORT and MANUAL, the token's choice for EXTERNAL, false
otherwise. The plain list accepts appleHealthMirror=true so a client can
page exactly those rows.

Migration 0476 adds the columns and links existing EXTERNAL readings only
where one measurement token provably sent them; 0477 builds the index
concurrently. Backups carry the link and a restore keeps it only for a
token the account still holds. A guard holds every EXTERNAL writer to
setting the link.

The offline persister restores the last dashboard snapshot at boot and

Marc-André Bombeck 5273a8d899 test(e2e): give the vault specs their own accounts, and clear every bucket at setup
The vault's layout is account state. documents.spec read the default
while the layout journey in v142-qol turned it on the shared account,
so which one failed depended on the order they ran in. Each now runs on
a vault account of its own; the vault fixture seeds the same corpus
under ids tagged per account, so two vaults never claim one row.

Global setup clears every rate-limit bucket keyed on a fixture account
or on the loopback addresses the suite calls from, not only the login
and share buckets: the check-in, write, export and import buckets
outlive a run by up to an hour, and a second run on the same database
met the first run's counts. A developer's own accounts are left alone.
The layout journey waits for its own write rather than whichever layout
write answers first.

tablet-shell.spec.ts runs on WebKit with an iPad profile (webkit-tablet,
in the WebKit job) and on Chromium with an Android tablet profile
(chromium-tablet, in the shards), across iPad mini to iPad Pro 13 in
both orientations, Safari's bars, Split View and Slide Over. It checks
that the shell fills the window and leaves the document nothing to
scroll, that every rail destination scrolls into view on top and takes a
tap, that the scroll cue follows the overflow, that main reaches its
last line clear of the bottom bar, that the page scrolls again after a
sheet and a dialog close, and that a tab strip leaves the vertical pan

Marc-André Bombeck 22976337cb fix(tabs): leave the vertical pan to the page
touch-pan-x on the tab strip refused a vertical pan that began on it, so

pans sideways through its own overflow.

Marc-André Bombeck 1f4c1bd2f0 fix(rail): keep every destination reachable under a finger
A touch tablet keeps the rail's 44 px rows, so in landscape three to
seven destinations sit below the fold, and the list has no scrollbar at
rest. The edge fade alone did not read as "swipe here", and a swipe that
reached an end chained to the document, which held the next one.

The list region moves into its own module. Under a coarse pointer it
contains its overscroll, keeps a focused row clear of a new scroll cue,
and shows that cue at an edge with more destinations; a tap scrolls the
list most of a screen on. The cue stays out of the focus order and the
accessibility tree: the keyboard and screen readers already reach every
row. The rail takes the home indicator's inset so the account row stays
clear of it. A mouse sees no change.

Marc-André Bombeck 6ad61cdd1f fix(shell): take the window's edges and keep the document still
The authenticated shell was sized by h-dvh. On iPadOS Safari that value
and the area the browser lays out disagree after a rotation and under the
floating toolbars: a short value left a strip of page colour under the
shell with the last card cut off above it, a tall one let the document
scroll by the difference and take the swipes meant for main.

The shell now takes the window's edges (absolute inset-0 against the
initial containing block), and the document under it gets no scroll and
no rubber band (data-scroll="shell": overflow hidden, overscroll none,
height 100% so the box survives a dialog's scroll lock making the body
relative). Not fixed: a fixed box re-rasterises every page in a layer of
its own and traps the bottom bar's z-index.

The desktop shell's main now clears the home indicator of an installed
app, and the page frame clears the Coach button there with pb-24: the
button sits 5.5rem up, so pb-20 left the last 8 px under it. The
sub-shell grid floor follows the new padding.

Every page load mounts the locale provider, and its mount effect sent

each page view spent one write. The mount write now happens once per tab
session and locale; a switch still writes at once.

Marc-André Bombeck c0d387025d test(guards): strip comments the way the compiler reads them, in every guard
Forty-two guard files carried their own comment stripper, block comments
first in one non-greedy pass, so a /* inside a line comment opened a
block that hid the code after it, and the stricter copies hid code
behind a /* inside a string, which every e2e route glob has. They all
read through the shared stripComments now, and it scans the way the
parser does: strings, template literals and regular expressions keep
every character, a comment inside a template expression goes, and line
numbers are kept. A parity test strips every source file both ways,
with the scanner and with the TypeScript parser, and fails on the first
that differs.

No guard reports anything new. Each one fails when the stripper returns
nothing; three of them passed on an empty file and assert that the code
they ban is read at all now.

Marc-André Bombeck 3d26cee566 fix(import): take the app's own full backup and JSON export back
The JSON import refused the app's own files: the full backup writes an
empty note, tag list or glucose context as null and the JSON export as
an empty string, and the import schema read either as a value of the
wrong type. The file is now read in the exporter's terms before it is
validated: the export's envelope is opened, every null or empty field
is treated as absent, a backup row carrying a deletion is left out and
counted as skipped, and a unit the app converts on every other way in
is converted to the stored one.

The round trip also showed the portable backup dropping what a reading
itself says: glucose context, sleep stage, range bounds, rhythm and
device. They ride the portable file now, and a portable restore puts
them back. Sync bookkeeping stays out.

An integration test exports an account three ways (full backup, JSON
export, measurement CSV), imports each into a fresh account and compares
what the import carries.

Marc-André Bombeck 8a11b7bfc6 fix(charts): measure axis labels at the size they are drawn under reduced motion
The reduced-motion backstop gives every element a near-zero transition,
and the default transition property is all, so the font size Recharts
writes into its measurement span started a transition and the read in
the same task returned the previous size. Labels were sized at whatever
the last one had, or at the inherited 16 px: the last date label moved
in from the edge and value labels that fit were dropped as colliding,
differently from one visit to the next. Nothing in the measurement host
is ever seen, so nothing in it transitions now. A browser test pins the
read under reduced motion and without it.

Marc-André Bombeck 51cba52751 fix(medications): answer writes with the shapes the contract declares
The create, its mirror replay and the edit answered the written row
without the read-model fields the declared resource carries (reminder
state, stock and runway, actionability, course status, composition,
links), while the detail read answered them. They answer the read model
now, built from the row they just wrote (medicationDetail), so a client
reads back exactly what GET /api/medications/{id} would say.

A dose write that converged onto an existing slot answered the slot
upsert's narrow row, without userId, medicationId, updatedAt,
autoRecorded, autoMissed or attributionSource. The upsert reads and
returns the whole event row, the same shape a write that inserted its own
answers. The parity walks drop their contract skips and are re-pinned.

Marc-André Bombeck 521b85bfbd fix(openapi): declare the mirror replay 200 of a medication create
A mirror create re-posting a pair the caller already holds has always
answered the existing medication with 200, as the description says; only
the 201 was declared.

Marc-André Bombeck 55a6287069 fix(audit): file every refused request through auditLog()
Twelve routes wrote their <surface>.validation-failed row with a bare
prisma.auditLog.create, so they skipped the two decisions auditLog makes:
an owner's own refused request stays on the wide event
(meta.rejected_attempt) instead of becoming a row, and a delegate's names
the delegate as the actor. The bulk medication and mood ingests, the
layout, overlay, device, health-sync, metric and ingest routes all go
through auditLog now, and a structural guard keeps raw writes to the one
writer and the briefing failure marker. The unit tests assert the auditLog
call, and the bulk walks are re-pinned without the owner's refusal row.

Marc-André Bombeck cf37f833e8 fix(insights): keep the briefing blocks of a reply that validates
The briefing prompt asks for dailyBriefing, trendAnnotations and
storyboardAnnotations beside the insight fields, and the briefing card,
the dashboard snapshot and the today read consume them. insightResultSchema
was a strict object, so it dropped exactly those blocks from a reply that
validated, while a reply that failed validation kept them. It is a loose
object now: the named fields are checked and the rest of the reply stays.

Marc-André Bombeck b02caed221 fix(ai): treat a stored provider key that cannot be opened as no key
A key id retired from ENCRYPTION_KEYS, or a corrupt row, made decrypt throw
inside the provider builders, and a briefing generation answered 500. An
unreadable key now drops its entry from the chain like a missing one, with a
warning on the event, so the generation answers the no-provider 422
(ai.provider.none). The connection test reads it as no stored key. The
parity walk holds that case to the contract again.
