The toggle shows the panel-right open glyph while the panel is open and
the close glyph while it is shut, both mirrored so the chevron points the
way the panel moves on a click. Docked and open, the toggle keeps the
panel's width as its right margin, so it sits beside the panel's leading
edge and travels with it (200 ms, none under reduced motion). Labels and
aria-expanded are unchanged.
The Coach page cancelled the shell's container padding with negative
margins, so <main> kept its reserved scrollbar gutter and painted a dead
strip to the right of the panel on classic-scrollbar platforms. The shell
now renders /coach full bleed: no centred container, no padding and no
reserved gutter, and the page fills what <main> leaves below the top bar.
A refusal card (shared record, module off) keeps the padded frame.
The panel header takes one 12 px inset with a gap of 8 between title and
icons, a text-lg title, and 28 px icon buttons beside a pointer (44 px on
touch). Conversation rows take the control radius and a 36 px pointer
floor.
The muted line under the lead repeated what the lead had just said: a lead
about blood pressure sat above "Your latest blood pressure is sitting in
the optimal band · ↓ ~10 mmHg…". The web client only dropped the headline
when the lead quoted it word for word, and other clients had no rule at
all. The digest now carries `signalLine`, built next to the lead: when the
lead already talks about the top signal's metric (matched in every shipped
language) or says its headline, only the delta remains, and with no delta
there is no line. The hero renders the field verbatim.
/coach?settings=data opened the conversations sheet from the first
render. The server and hydration renders do not know the viewport and
take the narrow layout, so on a desktop the sheet was open until the
docked panel replaced it; only the batching of the hydration re-render
kept it off the screen. The deep link now opens the sheet only once
hydrated on a viewport that does not dock the panel; on a docked one the
panel is revealed as before.
The desktop deep-link spec records every mount of the sheet from the
first byte and expects none; a phone deep-link spec covers the sheet
path and serves as the watcher's positive control.
The vault's filter row gains a procedure facet beside the condition
facet. It lists the record's procedures and surgeries that hold at least
one live document, headed the way the visits page heads them (the
reason, else the practice, else the kind) with the body site and date
beneath, and narrows the list through the existing `encounterId` filter.
Same control, placement and clear behaviour as the condition facet; the
choice rides the URL as `?encounter=`, and an upload dropped into the
filtered view is filed against the procedure.
The usage read publishes the choices as `linkedProcedures` (additive),
decrypting only the label columns, and returns none when a sharing
grant does not cover the visits section.
On a phone an active facet now gives up label width before the search
field does, and the search keeps room for its icon and padding.
The AI-optional overview and account journeys asserted zero error cards,
Coach hand-offs and briefings without scrolling the deferred sections
into view, so the sections below the first three never mounted and the
zero counts held whatever they would paint. Both journeys now reveal
every section and wait for the reads those sections fire to land;
waiting on networkidle again resolves at once, because the page reached
that state before.
Under an answer: copy, read aloud, try again and the time as text on the
left; tokens and model on the right, on one line down to 390 px. The
thumbs leave the web (the feedback route stays for the native client),
and so does the "What I'm looking at" disclosure: the method line and
the tables the answer read move into the steps list, and an older
message without steps lists the areas it drew on, never a raw key.
Remember becomes a bookmark icon in the question's row and confirms in
place with a toast. Follow-up chips render inside the latest answer's
column at its text size. The answer column takes the full width below
`sm` and a fixed 80 % above, so nothing moves sideways as a reply
streams. A round button fades in when the thread is scrolled away from
the end and brings it back.
The hero led with the first sentence of the cached briefing, which was
often a greeting ("Good morning.") while the sentence with content was
never shown. Without an AI provider it fell back to "Your health score
today is N.", which the hero then removed because the ring already
shows the number, leaving a ring and "Nothing needs your attention".
The daily digest now publishes the lead resolved on the server and a
short list of facts about the day:
- lead: the reaction line or the first briefing sentence that is not a
greeting and does not repeat the score while AI text is available,
otherwise a deterministic sentence about the strongest signal (a vital
outside its personal range, a night an hour off the usual, vitals in
range, last night). A fact the lead was built from leaves the list.
- today: up to five statements in priority order (Rest Mode, doses taken
today, an appointment today or tomorrow that is not already on the
rail, last night's sleep against the usual, vitals against their
personal range, cycle day). Module-gated on the server, never padded,
never asking for anything. A phone shows the first four.
- restMode: passed through while an illness episode is active.
- score.steadyWeeks: how long the score has held, read off the stored
daily scores, shown under the ring in place of a delta.
briefingLead skips greetings and score sentences the same way, so the
morning push improves with it. Visit times are rendered in the profile
timezone and hour-cycle preference; the cycle day comes from the same
verdict the cycle page uses. The ring, the rail and the charts are
unchanged. OpenAPI regenerated; additive fields only.
Measures that the thread and composer keep the same width with the panel
open and closed, that the choice survives a reload, Escape and focus
return for the panel, the sheet and the settings overlay, rename and
delete with undo from the row menu, the settings deep link, and axe on the
panel and the overlay in both themes. Screenshots are attached to the
report.
Entering the Insights overview fired every section's reads at once, about
two dozen requests on a seeded account, and the server worked through
them in a queue: the hero and the first sections waited behind trends,
the period review, cycle, signals, rhythm events, health status,
breathing, labs and ECG, all far below the fold.
The first three sections in the account's own order still mount with
the page. Every later one renders a 1 px sentinel until it comes within
400 px of the visible area of the shell's scroll container, then mounts
and fetches; once mounted it stays. Measured on a seeded account under a
4x CPU slowdown: 24 -> 13 requests on entry, the entry network span
1.3-1.8 s -> 0.5-0.9 s, LCP about 1.35 s -> 0.9 s, blocking time about
550 ms -> 200 ms. Scrolling to the end still loads all 25 and renders
all ten sections.
Specs that assert on, measure or scan the lower sections scroll them in
first through a shared helper, so their coverage is unchanged.
On a short window (around 785 px and below) the nav list is taller than
the room between the logo band and the footer group, so it scrolls. With
nothing marking the edge, the last visible entry was cut off right at
the Collapse row and read as the footer covering it; macOS hides the
scrollbar that would have said otherwise.
While the list overflows, the footer group draws the same hairline the
user section does. A ResizeObserver on the nav and its list keeps the
state current as the window or the entries change; with room to spare
the rail is unchanged. The e2e spec checks the edge, that the last entry
scrolls fully clear of the footer, and that a tall window draws no edge.
Recharts sizes every tick and label by writing it into one off-screen
span and reading getBoundingClientRect(). Under <body> each read forced
a document-wide style recalc, because the stylesheet's descendant-subject
:has() rules leave Chromium no way to scope the invalidation. A seeded
dashboard made 149 such reads per cold load at about 2.8 ms each, about
1.8 s of main-thread time under a 4x CPU slowdown.
The chart runtime now parks that span in a zero-size, contain: strict
host under <html>, which Recharts finds by id and keeps using. Each read
drops to about 0.01 ms; the dashboard's total blocking time under the
same slowdown falls from about 2.5 s to about 0.75 s. The host copies
<body>'s classes, where the app font is set, so every string measures
exactly as before; an e2e spec checks that parity on the drawn labels
and that the host survives a client-side round trip.
The rail animates its width from w-16 to w-64, and the labels laid out
against the growing width: every row overran the nav and multi-word
labels wrapped, so the nav's overflow-y-auto painted a vertical and a
horizontal scrollbar for the length of the transition.
Lay the expanded column out at its final width from the first frame and
let the rail clip it. The final layout is unchanged; the column fills
the expanded rail exactly. A unit test pins the structure and an e2e
spec samples the nav on every frame of a real expand and collapse.
The wide tier let the trend column grow to 8rem while the sparkline it
holds is a fixed 72px glyph, so at 1920 px an empty 56 px strip opened
between the sparkline and the chevron. The column now stays 72px in both
tiers; the extra width goes to the range bar and the name, as before.
The wide-list spec reads the resolved grid tracks and asserts the trend
track is 72px at every width it covers.
On a wide window the compact lab list was one five-column row whose only
flexible column was the name: the name column sat mostly empty while the range
bar and the trend stayed small at the right edge.
The list's card is now a container, and the columns follow its width instead of
the window's. Below 64 rem of card the row is the lg table it was, with the
range bar at 12 rem; from 64 rem the bar column grows from 12 to 18 rem and the
trend column from 72 px to 8 rem, and the bar fills its column. The two tiers
exclude each other, so the result does not depend on the order the CSS is
emitted in. The trend sparkline itself is unchanged.
From lg up a long analyte name wraps instead of being cut off; a phone keeps the
single line with an ellipsis, and the bar keeps its own 12 rem cap there.
The shared 1280 px frame is untouched; a Playwright spec measures it on /labs,
/measurements and /mood at 1280, 1920 and 3440 px.

One select under the model field of the Local and OpenAI-compatible
provider forms: Default, Off, Low, Medium, High, with a one-line hint
that Off leaves the answer budget for the answer itself. It reuses the
NativeSelect, label and hint layout of the field above it, seeds from
the stored entry, and saves with the form. Strings in all seven
locales.

A numeric lab reading was stored with its value as received and the marker's
unit stamped on it, so 5.6 mmol/L against a marker kept in mg/dL became
5.6 mg/dL and read as far below range. Both the manual/API write and the
scan commit did this; nothing compared the two units.
- POST /api/labs returns 422 labs.unit.mismatch, with the marker's unit and
the reading's unit in meta, and writes nothing. The unit is compared only
when one was sent: on the biomarkerId path it may be omitted, and the
marker's unit is then the stated one. A qualitative reading has no unit.
- The scan commit skips such a row with reason unit_mismatch, so the outcome
reads partial or failed instead of a clean save, and the toast names the
analytes concerned rather than saying "duplicates".
- The extract response carries the matched marker's unit. The review screen
shows a calm badge on a row in another unit, starts it unticked like a
duplicate, and treats it as a blocking error on the unit field if it is
ticked anyway.
- A small lab-specific normaliser forgives spelling only: spacing, the micro
prefix, the case of the litre, and a unit printed in capitals for a short
list where capitals cannot mean another unit. Case is otherwise significant,
so mIU/L and MIU/L, or g/L and G/L, are never merged.
The document-commit path already refuses a mismatch and is left as it is.
Readings stored wrongly before this cannot be identified, because the
original unit was never kept; they are not touched.
Adds EN and DE strings; the other locales are left to the maintainers. The
OpenAPI spec and the error-code catalogue carry the new code.
Fixes#1094
The spec compared field tops within 8 px. A field label that wraps onto a
second line, which depends on the runner's font metrics, moves that
field's input down by one line while it stays in the same row, and the
560 px case failed on it. A field is now beside the value when it sits to
its right and starts above the value's bottom edge.
On a phone and a small tablet the review sheet slides up from the bottom;
its width settles before the slide ends, so waiting on width alone still
compared fields from different frames. The spec now waits for every
running animation to finish and for the surface to hold its position and
width across two frames.
The review stage widens the sheet and the row grid re-flows from the
container width; on a slow runner the 560 px case measured a half-laid-out
row and failed on the first attempt. The spec now waits until the surface
keeps its width across two frames before it measures.
The review stage is a list of readings to compare and correct, but it sat in
the default 448 px dialog, so with several readings it only grew taller.
- ResponsiveSheet gains an opt-in 6xl width tier (72rem). Nothing else
changes width; the Sheet branch on phones ignores the tier as before.
- The review stage uses it. The picking stage stays narrow.
- Each row lays out from the width of its container, not the window:
stacked in a narrow dialog, and once the dialog is wide enough the reading
sits on the left with its fields on the right.
- The field grid (value, unit, date) is a container of its own, so it takes
three columns when the fields have room for them, whatever the window
width. The result-text span follows the same query.
- The dialog-overflow e2e spec covers the review stage at 390, 560, 768,
1280, 1920 and 3440 px. 560 is wider than a phone's field grid needs but
below the window sm breakpoint, which is what tells a container query from
a window one.

The three-button footer fits a phone row in English, so the English
case never saw Cancel leave the sheet. A German case at every width
fails against the old footer (checked) and passes against the fix.
The lab list panned sideways on a phone while the overflow guard was
green, because /labs was not on its hand-kept list. The new sweep reads
the routes from src/app: static routes are visited as is, every dynamic
route needs a resolver to real paths, and routes that are not signed-in
surfaces are listed with their reason. A route added without either
fails the bookkeeping test by name.
It runs on an account of its own, filled once from globalSetup with one
or two of everything a route renders, in German, so the narrow-column
and long-string cases are present. Two lab tests assert at the elements
that broke: the marker name keeps a readable width, and the values
list's actions stay on screen. The dialog spec gains a 360px width,
where the labs sheet's three-button footer overflowed in English too.
The persisted copy of a streamed reply used to mount as a new bubble, so
what the reader had done on the streamed one (the chart or table view, the
open steps list, the evidence panel) reset when the conversation refetch
landed. A turn now keeps one key from its first streamed frame to its
persisted copy, both render in the same wrapper, and the copy keeps the
live tables instead of refetching them, so React keeps the one bubble.
The wrapper stops being a live region once the turn is settled. The
150 ms twin-hiding window this replaces is gone.
The server offers no chips under a clarifying question. The second
streamed turn now carries the card alone, and axe runs once with the
chips under the first answer and once with the card.
Three streamed turns against a stubbed chat stream: steps under the answer, a result table with its chart/table toggle and copy menu, a follow-up chip and a clarification choice that each send which one was tapped, and axe over the answer, chips and card in both themes.
A table the answer referenced opens under the prose as its chart; the
others sit under Data used in the evidence disclosure and open as
tables. The plot is one image whose name points at the table view, two
series carry legend buttons, and the chart loads through the shared
chart runtime. A metric chart token for a metric a shown table already
covers is dropped.
The delegated-writes spec checked for the invitation form's level control
right after page load, before the form had painted, found nothing and
skipped every test on every run, CI included.
- Give the journey its own account pair, seeded and reset in global setup,
so it no longer invites the same pair as the account-sharing journey
(a second live grant between two accounts is refused with 409).
- Wait for the form through its data-slot and fail when the WRITE level
control is missing instead of skipping.
- Revoke the journey's grant in afterAll.
- Keep it out of the mobile project in the config rather than through a
runtime skip.
Add two checks so a skip cannot hide a spec again:
- e2e-conditional-skip-guard.test.ts requires every conditional
test.skip/test.fixme in e2e/ to carry a reason and refuses a bare
test.skip().
- scripts/check-e2e-skipped-specs.mjs reads the Playwright JSON reports of
both shards in the e2e gate job and fails when a spec file skipped all of
its tests across every project, apart from an allowlist with reasons.
The invitation journeys, the backup journey (archive, snapshot download
and restores) and the delegated doctor report acted on jars signed in once
in global setup, so they passed or met the re-proof gate depending on how
far into the run they started. Each now acts from a session of its own,
made stale before every gated press, and answers the dialog with the
password; the delegated report asserts the 401 before re-proving over the
wire. The helper gains expireRecentProof, reproveWithPassword and
actWithReproof.
The off-host card reads pendingDeletions and lifecycle, which the route
always sends. The mock predated them, so the card threw and the page never
painted its rows. The mock now carries a refused deletion and a bucket
without an expiry rule, so the scan reaches both new lines.
A report for a past window lists a medication only if its course had begun
by the window's end. The fixture's drug was entered on the day of the run,
so it was rightly absent from a report for last year and the control that
expected it failed. The course now starts before that window. Generating the
report also meets the re-proof dialog from a stale session every time,
rather than only when the run has been going for five minutes.
Connecting an assistant and making a share link ask for a sign-in or
re-proof within five minutes. The shared jar is signed in once in global
setup, so the specs passed early in a run and failed later. They now start
from a session of their own signed in ten minutes ago: the consent page
withholds Allow and links to the confirm page, where the password re-proof
returns to the consent request; the share form opens the re-proof dialog
and creates the link after the password is given.
The restore route answers 202 with a job id and leaves the work to the
backup-restore queue. The journey still expected the synchronous 200 and
read the record straight after the click. It now asserts the queued
answer and its status route, polls that route until the job reports
succeeded (a failed job ends the wait with its code), and only then
checks what the restore put back and dropped. The job runs on the
pg-boss worker inside the server under test, as the manual backup pass
earlier in the same file already relies on.
Three assertions in the AI-optional overview spec named slots that no
longer exist anywhere in the tree, so they held whatever the page did.
They now name the error primitives the overview paints on a refused read
and the Coach hand-offs that paint only while the Coach is available, and
the no-provider journey checks that /coach goes back to the overview.
Adds the AI-optional journeys: the overview with AI switched off by the
operator and with no provider (no AI requests, no refusals, one setup
hint, remembered dismissal), and on an account of its own, withdrawing AI
consent deletes the stored briefing, and a hidden Coach's conversation is
read and deleted from Settings, AI.
Specs that drive AI surfaces against mocked routes now serve an available
capability map through /api/auth/me, since the web no longer assumes AI
is on until told otherwise.
A journey on its own account switches mood and medications on, proves
the Mood nav entry, the Mood and Medications pills, the mood trends slot
and both add-menu entries are there, switches both off through the
module route and proves each is gone, the trends row fills from pulse,
/insights/mood shows the module notice at the same URL, and no chart on
the way paints its error state.
Data never depends on AI. The Insights data reads no longer ask an AI
switch or the `insights` module (now only the AI analysis opt-out): ECG
list, detail and upload, rhythm events, derived scores, rule cards,
correlations and patterns, the baseline strip, health status, intraday
pulse, and the Today digest with its dismiss. Breathing screening moves
to the sleep module and lab changes to the labs module. Stored Coach
facts, conversations, message ratings and the seen stamp stay readable
and erasable while the Coach is unavailable. Cards now say
`provider: "rules"`.
Reads that mix data with model text answer 200, null the model text
and publish an `ai` state from the capability resolver, without warming
anything: comprehensive (`ai.briefing`, `ai.statusText`, `hasProvider`
from the presence probe), the derived assessment override, the period
narrative, nudge status, the seeded opener, about-me questions, the
workout paragraph, the pregenerate warm (`queued: false`), the Today
digest (lead, reaction line, check-in) and the dashboard briefing,
which is now applied per read after the snapshot cache. Hiding the
Coach no longer hides the briefing.
`insights/generate` GET and POST ask the `briefing` capability and
`insights/chat` POST the `coach` capability, with the typed refusal
envelope; a missing provider keeps the chat's `coach.provider.none`
frame and adds `reason`. The /coach page, the MCP ECG and intraday
tools and `aiAvailable` on the provider route follow the same answer.
An inventory of AI and data routes replaces the Coach gate inventory:
every route that asks a capability names it, and no data route asks.

A connector signing in through the MCP OAuth consent screen gets stuck
after Allow in Chromium: the grant is issued, but the browser never
reaches the client's callback. Only a real browser enforces the page's
CSP on that redirect, so this is a browser journey. It registers a
client with a local loopback callback, clicks Allow and requires the
callback to receive a code, state and issuer. It runs against the second
server, which now carries APP_URL because the MCP surface fails closed
without a configured origin. Refs #983
The stub port was drawn from 49152-65535. Linux assigns local ports for
outgoing connections from 32768-60999, so the drawn number could already
be held by a client socket the runner had opened, and the notification
journey failed in beforeAll with EADDRINUSE although no other stub was
listening. The port now comes from 20000-32767, below the Linux and
macOS ephemeral ranges.
The mobile smoke test pressed Escape on the capture picker and tapped
the More button straight away. While the picker's close animation still
covers the bottom nav, that tap lands on the overlay and the hub never
opens, which failed the lucide-react update once. The test now waits
until the picker is hidden.
