Covers what the required parameters now make impossible to forget: the
scorer takes the band whole and never widens it, a missing target scores
the bare trend, the resolved yardstick rides the weight component, the
shared builder refuses the reference band that sits under an override,
the snapshot gates its mood pillar on the module map, an explicit target
reaches both the score and the dashboard bands, and weight/BMI record
direction follows the user's own goal.
F1 adds the golden the score has never had: the rollup read branch and
the live read branch scored against one series encoded both ways. On the
canonical one-weigh-in-a-day cadence they agree exactly. On an uneven
cadence they part company, and the test pins that the whole difference is
the per-day mean collapse - the rollup branch equals the live branch fed
those same daily means - with a companion assertion proving the fixture
is not a no-op.
The Health Score graded the weight pillar against 22 x height squared,
expanded by 2 kg either side: a target nobody set, nothing disclosed,
and the only producer of the pillar's band. For anyone with a height on
file it pre-empted both the honest trend-only path the module header
promised and the null-redistribution behind it, while the target the
user had actually entered sat unread in User.thresholdsJson.
computeHealthScore now takes the band whole plus the yardstick it came
from. Both callers resolve it through one shared builder next to
buildHealthScoreBpInputs, which hands over a band only when
getEffectiveRange reports a real user override; every other account
scores the bare trend. defaultWeightTargetFromHeight is gone.
Same pass, same defect class elsewhere: the dashboard bands, the
weight-drift verdict rung and the weight/BMI record direction all
ignored an explicit target too, and the snapshot never resolved the
mood module, so a mood-off account got a mood pillar in the hero ring
and none in the Insights card. moodEnabled and the weight yardstick are
required parameters now, so a caller that forgets one fails to compile
instead of quietly scoring against a default.
BMI renders on the native dashboard and was configurable from nowhere.
Two individually-correct decisions produced it: `bmi` is a catalogue id
with no web render path, and the web layout editor filters those out
because a toggle over something this page cannot draw would be a silent
no-op. The widgets PUT accepts and persists them all the same, and the
native client writes them, so an account ended up holding rows it never
set and could not change from any surface.
The sortable list stays exactly as it was. Below it, the ids the web
does not draw but the layout carries get their own labelled group with
the same two flags and no reordering — placement belongs to the client
that draws them. An account with no native client has nothing there and
sees nothing. The module gate applies as it does above, fail-open.

`binaryReferenceSex` was already the declared owner of the shrink from the
three stored values to the two a sex-split reference table has rows for, but
eight sites still narrowed inline — including a byte-for-byte private copy in
the effective-range resolver and a ternary 37 lines above a `toProfileSex`
call in the same file. Each of those is a place the fallback can drift.
Delete the copy, replace the ternaries, and name the pair once as
`BinaryReferenceSex` so a signature that needs it stops re-listing the two
literals. No behaviour changes: every site already resolved OTHER and "no
answer" to the same neutral or absent value, and the existing suites pass
untouched.
Adds the cases that were missing everywhere except the FHIR conformance
suite: an empty string clears without taking its siblings down, OTHER
round-trips through the profile and onboarding writes, an unsupported
value is still refused and says which field it is about, the Strain
model scores an unanswered account on neither side, the dashboard bands
give OTHER the neutral fallback, the snapshot payload carries the value
instead of flattening it, and the doctor-report cover omits the row
rather than claiming a value the account never chose.
Refs #645
The profile validator has accepted MALE, FEMALE and OTHER for a long
time, but the published contract documented two, and a client written
against that contract had no way to know the third existed. The profile
PATCH is one write, so a rejected gender took every sibling field with
it - a time-format change lost to a field the person never touched.
Gender now clears on an empty string, the same contract every other
profile field documents, and an unsupported value is refused with a
message that names the field and its accepted values instead of the
validator's own prose. Onboarding validated against a narrower enum
than the profile schema and 422'd the whole submission; its form could
not record the third value at all.
The rest is the same defect in other clothes. The Strain model scored
an unanswered or OTHER account on the male Banister coefficients; it
now uses the midpoint of both published models, matching every other
sex-split formula here. The dashboard snapshot emitted null for an
account that answered OTHER, which is indistinguishable from no answer.
Three casts asserted a two-value type over a three-value column. All of
them now carry the stored value and narrow once, at the boundary of a
reference table that genuinely has no third row, through one named
helper in src/lib/profile/sex.ts.
Refs #645
The widget catalogue grew to 42 ids, so the snapshot round-trip count
follows. The mood card's unit key carries "/5" rather than an empty
string — the locale-integrity guard forbids empty values, and the scale
is the honest thing to print next to a 1-to-5 score. It joins the
identical-across-locales allowlist alongside the other unit notations.
Both metrics exist in the record but the summary route emitted neither,
so a native client could render every home-screen tile except those two.
Mood reads the canonical daily series (`buildMoodDailySeries`) — the same
rollup-backed aggregation the web mood analytics and the dashboard
snapshot render — and emits the newest day's score with a trailing
seven-day sparkline. BMI comes from `computeBmi`, the one implementation
the web vitals dashboard already renders through the derived-metric
dispatch; the route resolves the figure so no client re-derives weight
over height squared.
Mood gates on the mood module through a synthetic `MOOD_ENTRY` key, the
same route `NUTRIENT_WATER` takes, because mood is not a measurement
type; without the join the card would ship past a disabled module. BMI
belongs to no module and rides through with the other core vitals.
The BMI card is omitted rather than emitted empty when the profile has no
height or no weight in the window: the card shape carries no honest
"unknown" state, and a null value would read as a logging gap rather than
a missing profile field.
GET /api/dashboard/summary builds its own payload instead of going
through readDashboardSnapshotCached, so it never picked up the module
gate the shared snapshot builder applies. It emitted glucose and sleep
cards on data presence alone while /api/dashboard/snapshot correctly
withheld them for the same account.
Lift the drop decision out of gateSummariesByModules into
disabledSummaryTypes in the client-safe widget-modules module, so the two
dashboard aggregates decide from one map. The snapshot keys its summaries
by MeasurementType and the summary route emits cards keyed by an iOS
MetricKind, so what is shared is the decision, not the filtering;
SUMMARY_METRIC_TYPE_BY_KIND is the join between the two.
Omit rather than refuse, matching the snapshot sibling: the payload spans
ten cards across several domains, and blanking the dashboard because one
module is off would be the wrong trade. Core vitals always pass through.
The filter runs outside the analytics cache on purpose. That LRU is keyed
by user with a 60 s fresh / 1 h stale window and a module toggle does not
evict it, so gating inside the builder would keep serving a disabled tile
for up to an hour after the user turned it off.
Wire shape unchanged -- a gated card is absent, not null.
The narrative read route narrowed every non-English locale to German, so a
French, Spanish, Italian or Polish account read the German narrative row and
warmed it from the German prompt body. Carry the resolved locale through
instead: the row is keyed (user, period, locale) across the full UI locale
union, and the four locales now compose the English instruction body with
their language named and the locale's own reply-language directive appended
last. The German and English prompts are unchanged apart from the version
string.
The nightly warm keeps the user's stored locale for the same reason — it has
to write the key the read route reads — and the coach and dashboard narrative
recalls read that same key. Coach memory stays de/en: it is model-facing
context, not user-facing prose, so the four locales compose and key English
rather than German.
NARRATIVE_PROMPT_VERSION 1.13.0 -> 1.14.0.
Kill the above-the-fold first-load flash on `/`: the hero digest and the
batched chart series still fired client-side after JS download + hydrate,
so the hero and charts painted empty and filled in seconds later (LCP
~5.5 s mobile-throttled while the snapshot already dehydrated).
Extend the existing `page.tsx` snapshot prefetch to also seed the daily
digest and the chart series batch into the same dehydrated TanStack cache,
under keys byte-identical to the client's:
- Extract the series-batch route core into `readSeriesBatch(...)` so the
RSC and the route share one code path (no HTTP-to-self); the route thins
to auth + Zod + the shared reader, behaviour unchanged.
- New client-safe pure module `batch-chart-types.ts`: `deriveBatchChartTypes`
(the single implementation of the visible-with-data type-set derivation,
order + resting-HR-vs-pulse pick preserved) and `computeBatchWindow`
(profile-tz end-of-day minus the coverage window). Server and client run
the same function over the same snapshot payload, and the window is
computed once server-side and threaded to the client as a prop, so the
`chartSeriesBatch` key matches on both sides by construction.
- Render the hero data-first so the SSR HTML carries the populated hero
(the LCP element) — hydration-safe because the digest is dehydrated and
never restored from the IndexedDB persist allowlist; bound that invariant
with comments on both the hero gate and the allowlist.
- Warm the shared chart-runtime chunk during hydration.
Both prefetches honour the `DASHBOARD_SSR_PREFETCH=false` escape and fail
soft to the client-fetch path on any error; a ~400 ms soft budget bounds
the cold-day digest cost. No contract change, no visual change.
The Today digest's dose-window rail item linked to the bare /medications
list even though the overdue medication's id was already resolved
server-side alongside its name — a tap landed the user on a generic list
they then had to scan themselves.
buildMedsTodayBlock now carries nextDueMedicationId; the digest's
"Log dose" action links to /medications?highlight=<id> when the id is
known, falling back to the bare list for an older cached block. The
medications page reads the highlight param, scrolls the matching card
into view, and rings it briefly (mirrors the vault's duplicate-upload
highlight) in both the card grid and the table view. Regenerates
docs/api/openapi.yaml for the new medsToday field.
Reuses the TrendCard strip-tile pattern (icon, neutral direction
sentiment, stale-days caption) for a new waterIntake widget, but
sources it from NutrientIntakeDay instead of introducing a parallel
MeasurementType. The dashboard snapshot builder reads the last 30
day-keys for nutrient="water" (summed across sources), folds them
into a synthetic NUTRIENT_WATER summary key alongside the real
MeasurementType summaries, and the existing module-gating machinery
(SUMMARY_TYPE_MODULE, WIDGET_MODULE_BY_ID) strips it when the opt-in
nutrients module is off — no new gating code path, just two new map
entries.
The tile links out to /insights/nutrients instead of a measurement
detail page. Widget catalogue grows 37 -> 38 ids.
Several readings were synced and charted but had no place on the dashboard
strip: heart-rate variability, blood oxygen, breathing rate, wrist temperature,
and — for body-composition scale users — muscle mass, body water, and bone mass.
Each now has a tile.
The tiles are pure client additions: the dashboard snapshot already ships a
summary for every measurement type, so no backend, query, or migration changed.
Each tile is data-availability gated (renders only when the account has that
reading) and is toggleable and reorderable under Settings like the rest.
hrv and respiratoryRate graduate from iOS-only to web-writable widget ids, and
muscleMass is a new writable id (catalogue 36 to 37, within the 40-id PUT cap);
wristTemperature moves from pin-only to a web-rendered tile. All additive — the
widget enum only widens, which the iOS contract treats as non-breaking.
Supplement-style intake written to Apple Health by nutrition apps —
vitamins, minerals, water, caffeine — can now sync as daily totals into a
dedicated NutrientIntakeDay store (migration 0241): composite (user, day,
nutrient) identity, re-post replaces, no soft delete, no rollup coupling.
A code-side catalog carries the 26 nutrient codes with canonical units,
plausibility caps, and EFSA dietary reference values (direction-aware;
chromium cites NIH ODS where EFSA declined a DRV).
Deliberately not a nutrition feature: no diary, no calories, no dashboard
surface. POST /api/nutrients/batch is gated behind the new opt-in
nutrients module (default off — with the module off the server refuses
ingest entirely), rate-limited, idempotency-wrapped, with per-entry
unit-mismatch and out-of-range skips. GET /api/nutrients serves a
catalog-ordered summary; the only visible surface is a read-only card
under Settings → Sources. Coach/correlation access is a later slice; the
iOS reading side is coordinated in the companion-app tracker.
The sleep source-discrepancy annotation now reaches the surfaces: SleepNight
carries the MAIN session's annotation (naps never cross-compare), the analytics
slim slice / dashboard snapshot / iOS summary thread it additively, and the
dashboard sleep tile renders the shared discreet marker (extracted from the
sleep panel — one implementation, two surfaces). Served totals unchanged,
pinned by tests.
Apple Health medications groundwork (server side of the medication-import
request): IntakeSource gains APPLE_HEALTH; medications accept an external
mirror identity (source-exclusive by policy) and dose imports carry the HK
dose-event UUID — both idempotent per stable key, with the concurrent-create
race resolved to the winner. Migration 0239, additive only. Entries without
the new fields behave byte-identically.
Hardening: doctor-report aggregation + PDF charts compute ranges with loops
instead of spread calls — a report over a sample-dense year cannot overflow
the call stack (the class fixed for the Google Health full sync).
The measured first-load gap on / was never the server: FCP painted the
SSR shell at ~1.8 s but LCP landed at ~5.5 s (mobile-throttled) because
the tiles waited for JS download + hydrate + a CLIENT-side snapshot
fetch — while /api/dashboard/snapshot answers in ~8 ms server-side.
src/app/page.tsx is now a thin RSC wrapper: it runs the same cached
snapshot read the API route uses (extracted to
src/lib/dashboard/snapshot-read.ts, one shared SWR cell for both
readers) and hands the result to TanStack via HydrationBoundary +
dehydrate, so the first HTML carries real tile data and the mounted
cell starts warm (staleTime 60 s, refetchOnMount false — no double
fetch). Query keys come only from the central factory
(dashboardSnapshot(locale) + the dashboardWidgets seed the client cell
already performs); the payload is JSON-round-tripped so the hydrated
shape is byte-equal to the wire shape. Fail-soft: no session or any
builder error renders the page exactly as before. The 1,727-line client
page moves unchanged to src/app/page-client.tsx; no component-tree
rewrite.
Companion: the documented bundle tooling was dead on Turbopack
(ANALYZE=1 silent no-op, bundle-report read a webpack-only JSON), so
H2/H3-class regressions shipped invisibly. scripts/check-bundle-budget.mjs
derives per-route gzip totals from the Turbopack client-reference
manifests + rootMainFiles, prints the report (pnpm bundle-report), and
enforces bundle-budget.json (pnpm bundle-check): per-route caps,
total-client-JS cap, a recharts-duplication guard (fingerprint count
must stay 1), and a catalog guard (no message catalog referenced by any
route manifest). Wired into the existing e2e workflow after next build.

The scoreRings doc comment still called the ring the pooled 7-day
adherence — that was the v1.27.7 first cut. Since v1.27.8 the ring is
today's taken/scheduled dose progress from the snapshot's own medsToday
block (see src/lib/dashboard/score-rings.ts). Comment-only change.
The briefing spotlight carried a separate underlined 'open Insights'
text link that thickened the card; every signal row below already
deep-links. Drop it and make the Tagesbriefing heading itself the link
— quiet, no underline, hover lift only — targeting the briefing card
directly via a new #daily-briefing anchor on the insights section
(scroll-mt-28, the app-wide offset token).
After the broad Insights button left the hero, the scoreDrop and
briefing verdict sentences were dead ends. Link-CTA verdicts without a
button label now make the sentence itself clickable (same quiet
treatment): scoreDrop routes to /insights, the briefing sentence
deep-links to the picked finding's metric sub-page via the METRIC_HREF
map (fallback /insights). Verdicts with their own action keep their
button.
The MED_COMPLIANCE hero ring carried the pooled 7-day adherence
percentage — a mystery number next to today-focused scores. It now
answers the question the hero poses: how many of today's doses are
done. The resolver reads takenToday/scheduledToday off the snapshot's
own medsToday block (one shared builder call, no second tally); score
stays the rounded 0..100 progress for wire compatibility and a new
additive doses field carries the taken/scheduled pair. No dose
scheduled today means no ring, and the band is progress semantics —
green once everything is taken, yellow while doses remain, never red
(a pending morning dose is not an alert state).
The web ring renders the tally (1/3) with a doses label over the ring
system's constant green arc — the same green family the compliance
surfaces in Insights paint — instead of a band gradient; the derived
rings keep their exact insights hues. ScoreRing gains documented
valueText/ariaLabel overrides for tally-shaped centres. OpenAPI
regenerated; labels land in all six locales.
Resolve the selected rings server-side and publish them as scoreRings
on the dashboard snapshot (additive, optional for cached payloads).
READINESS, RECOVERY_SCORE and SLEEP_SCORE go through the same
computeDerivedMetric dispatcher the derived batch route calls, with the
profile loaded once via the shared loader; MED_COMPLIANCE pools the
7-day adherence across active non-PRN medications through the canonical
compliance engine (taken over taken-plus-missed, skips out of the
denominator) and bands on the targets-tile thresholds. Rings gate on
their owning module plus the insights gate for the derived trio, drop
out when no data backs them, and resolve fail-soft per ring so a
throwing engine never sinks the snapshot. OpenAPI regenerated.
Reference-band fills, classification tones, and the trend-chart palette
carried hardcoded hex that rendered identically in both themes and
glared on the light surface. Route them through the semantic and chart
CSS variables, which already hold per-theme values, so the light theme
gets the muted set and the dark theme stays byte-identical.
The mental-wellbeing screener surface shipped built but unreachable: no nav
entry, no module key, ungated. Add a `mentalHealth` module key (opt-in,
default OFF — a depression/anxiety self-assessment is at least as sensitive
as mood) to the registry, the module-hub icon map, and the exhaustive module
maps. Give the check-in a nav home at /insights/mental-wellbeing, born-gated
on the module so it appears only once the account opts in, and redirect the
page home on a direct hit when the module is off.
Item answers stay encrypted and off the AI Coach / MCP regardless of the
toggle; this only controls whether the surface is visible and reachable.
Add the opt-in Environment module (default off), its Settings surface (home
location search, travel overrides, backfill, with Open-Meteo attribution), the
gated API routes (overview, home, geocode, travel CRUD, backfill), the nightly
pg-boss fetch job with a lookback window plus on-demand backfill, the query
keys, six-locale strings, and the regenerated OpenAPI. The module performs an
outbound weather fetch tied to a coarse location, so it ships dark and the user
turns it on deliberately; off means no job, no row, no egress.
Add the opt-in inboundDocuments module (off by default, like the MCP
endpoint): ingesting a clinical document egresses it to the OCR/vision
provider, so the surface ships dark and the user turns it on from the
Modules hub. The born-gated /documents page carries the prominent
non-diagnostic disclaimer (we read, we don't interpret; nothing is saved
until you approve it; only your clinician can interpret these results),
uploads a document, and walks each extracted fact: source provenance and
confidence are shown, low-confidence facts are blocked from approval until
edited, and the confirm step commits the approved facts.
Bridge the existing transport-agnostic MCP server factory to a Next.js
route at /mcp using the SDK's Web-standard Streamable HTTP transport, so a
remote client can connect with a manually-minted hlk_ Bearer token. The
same tool/resource layer the local stdio transport serves is reused
verbatim — no duplicated tool logic.
The route owns four gates in front of the transport:
- Auth: Authorization: Bearer hlk_… resolved by the same validator the
HTTP edge uses, so revoked/expired/scope semantics never drift. A cookie
is never consulted, so the cookie-only admin boundary stays unreachable
here regardless of token scope.
- Rate limit: the Postgres limiter keyed by the <userId>:<tokenId> binding
(mcp:<binding>), so a single shared credential cannot drain the account.
- Module gate: a new opt-in mcp module, OFF by default. With it off the
endpoint answers 404 and reveals nothing — a self-hoster who never opts
in gets zero new exposure. The Modules settings hub renders the toggle.
- Transport: a fresh stateless server + transport per request.
Read-only by construction (only read tools are registered) and same-origin
by construction (no CORS headers). The proxy lets /mcp skip the page cookie
redirect since it authenticates by header, mirroring the webhook surfaces.
The hero score card and the daily briefing accept tension, returnToBand, and
memory props, but nothing populated them server-side, so the lines never rendered.
Resolve all three server-authoritatively on the dashboard snapshot DTO (iOS rides
the same payload):
- tension — fires when the readiness composite's contributors disagree (a strongly
favourable one alongside a strongly unfavourable one), reusing the readiness
components the wellness ring grades and the shared disagreement detector.
Suppressed under a clinical red-flag (a coincident-deviation that no illness
explains) so the red-flag path is never reconciled into a calm verdict.
- returnToBand — runs the streak detector across the salient vitals and surfaces
at most one metric that has come back inside its own personal range after a
genuine prior out-of-band run.
- memory — maps the machine-derived coach memory block to the briefing's recall +
forward-look.
The blocks are locale-agnostic (contributor keys + a metric type); the insights
hero localises them through the existing readiness-contributor and metric-name
labels before handing the cards their resolved strings. Each value omits rather
than guesses. The snapshot cache key now carries the locale for the recall prose.
The three intake dialogs (log, edit, dose-history add) still used a raw
datetime-local input, so they ignored the user's date-format preference.
Route them through DateTimeField like every other date surface. Also
correct a stale diastolic-floor comment in the dashboard verdict.
The hypertensive-crisis floors were defined in three modules with a
divergent diastolic value: the notification engine and the Coach acute
clause used 180/120, but the dashboard hero used 180/110. A reading like
170/112 lit the red critical-BP banner on the hero yet never tripped the
notification alarm or matched the Coach's stated acute number — one
surface said crisis, the other two stayed calm on the same row.
Promote the absolute floors into a dependency-free clinical-floors leaf
and have the hero, the safety-floor engine, the status registry's fever
band, and the illness escalation all import from it. The crisis diastolic
floor is the guideline-correct 120 (ACC/AHA hypertensive urgency); the
wider 110 hero net is dropped so the surfaces tell one story. A coverage
test pins that every consumer resolves the same constants.
One-shot prettier pass so the new format:check gate starts from a clean
baseline. Formatting only — no behaviour change. Generator-owned and
vendored artifacts stay untouched via .prettierignore.
buildTargetBands was a same-file alias of buildDashboardBands, which the
dead-code gate flags as a duplicate export. Keep the historic name only as
a re-export alias from the snapshot module, so callers and the parity test
are unchanged while bands.ts exposes a single builder.
Drop the health-score card's inert onAskCoach prop and its now-dead
pass-through from the hero strip, the buildDashboardBands re-export that no
caller reached through the snapshot module, an unused tour-progress status
type, and an orphan service-worker cache helper.
The band / target math lived inline in two places — the server snapshot
builder and the dashboard page's snapshot-disabled fallback — so a
threshold change had to be hand-mirrored or the two surfaces would grade
the same metric differently. Move the construction into the new
client-safe @/lib/dashboard/bands leaf (buildDashboardBands, with
buildTargetBands kept as an alias for the snapshot-era call sites) and
have both the snapshot builder and the page fallback call it. The page
always computes the client copy from the profile so a still-loading
snapshot frame keeps real bands, then prefers the server numbers once
they arrive. Behaviour-preserving.
The coach snapshot tzDayKey, the dashboard verdict dayKeyInTz, and the
mood-entry moodDateKey each carried their own Intl day-key formatter
(en-CA / en-CA / sv-SE). Delegate all three to the canonical userDayKey
so every day-bucket key stays byte-aligned and the locale decision
lives in one place. Behaviour-preserving.
Move the BP/pulse/body-fat/weight band + target derivation out of the
dashboard client component and into the snapshot DTO. The page recomputed
every band from the user profile on each render via the analytics band
helpers; the snapshot builder now resolves the same numeric structures
once server-side under a new targetBands block, calling the identical
helpers. Emit only the i18n-free numbers — the label-bearing BP target
zones stay client-assembled from the server numbers.
Add a parity test asserting buildTargetBands matches the prior client
derivation for a male, a female, and a no-profile user.
Each reminder is now its own med-styled card reusing the medication card
primitives (MedicationCardHeader / MedicationNextLastSlot) on a neutral
surface with a single bottom-pinned action and a kebab carrying edit +
delete. The mark-done action branches on the linked measurement type:
- a free-text / self-planned exam keeps the silent satisfy ("Done");
- a measurement-linked reminder opens the real measurement-entry form
("Log value") pre-filled with its type, and on a successful write
satisfies the reminder in the same action (forward-only guard keeps
the cron a no-op).
The create/edit sheet gains a first-due date (anchorDate), a free
custom interval, and an RFC-5545 RRULE option, all already accepted by
the create/update schema. A wrench/customize affordance beside the page
Add button re-homes the per-reminder enable toggles moved off the card.
Vorsorge also joins the dashboard grid layout like medications: a new
chart-row summary card listing the next few due reminders with inline
done/capture buttons, default-off so existing dashboards are unchanged.
No migration and no API schema change; OpenAPI stays in sync.
Add a calm, value-free Rest Mode indicator to the dashboard score card and
the recovery insight so the web matches what iOS already shows: when an
illness/condition episode is active the score and recovery are framed, never
penalised, and the surface now says so. The new banner is neutral and
untinted, self-gates on an active episode, and reveals only the onset date —
never a decrypted note or episode label. The dashboard reads the annotation
from the snapshot (resolved server-side alongside the score); the recovery
section reads it from the analytics payload.
Give the sleep page one assessment per distinct chart group: the
duration/architecture assessment now sits with its charts, and the
sleep-quality block carries its own SLEEP_SCORE assessment, matching the
"multiple charts, multiple texts" structure the recovery page meets.
Add the steps explainer (insights.subPage.explainer.steps*) and pass
explainerMetric="steps", and demote the recovery per-block title to an h3 so
the heading outline nests cleanly under the page heading and group heading.
Medications graduated from the always-on core set (weight / blood
pressure / pulse stay core) to an opt-out module. The surface gates
off the resolved module map — the left-nav entry, the dashboard
medication widget, and the dedicated Medikamente settings entry hide
when the account turns the module off. The medication data routes stay
exempt from the gate (same data-layer reasoning as mood / labs): an
importer, a sync, and the user's ability to clean up entries keep
working while the surface is hidden, and re-enabling finds the
schedule and intake history intact.
Wire the module-route gate inventory, the dashboard widget/summary
maps, the PATCH allowlist, and the nav model; regenerate the OpenAPI
contract for the new module key.
Introduce a retrospective illness/condition journal: episodes with a
lifecycle (acute / chronic-ongoing / recurring / flare) and a daily
symptom timeline forked structurally from the cycle log-day surface. The
journal is a record, not a medical device — no prediction or diagnosis UI.
- Register `illness` as a born-gated (opt-in / default-off) module. The
gate resolver flips the disabled-allowlist default to off for born-gated
keys, so the surface stays dark until the account opts in from the
Modules hub. `isIllnessEnabled` + `requireIllnessEnabled` delegate to the
module foundation (one source of truth) and re-stamp an illness errorCode.
- Episode CRUD under /api/illness: list / create / get / edit / resolve /
delete, plus a per-episode-day day-log upsert on (episodeId, date). Every
route wraps apiHandler, Zod-validates with returnAllZodIssues, narrows
userId from auth, builds data field-by-field, and gates the module.
Free-text notes encrypt at rest through the shared Bytes codec.
- Log-day sheet (cycle fork): ~8 Jackson/WURSS symptom chips 0-3 + a
functional-impact group + fever + an encrypted note, one row per day.
- Episode history page + a born-gated nav entry, neutral palette, status
via a neutral Badge, retrospective-only copy. i18n across all six locales.
- Cover the new routes in the module-route-gate inventory; unit tests for
the day-log upsert, the gate enforcement, and the born-gated resolver.
The /api/auth/me module map now projects the `illness` flag (openapi.yaml
regenerated).
The settings dashboard-layout client component imported WIDGET_MODULE_BY_ID
from @/lib/dashboard/snapshot, which transitively pulls the server snapshot
builder -> lib/db -> @prisma/adapter-pg -> pg -> node:dns. Turbopack tried to
bundle pg for the browser and failed (Module not found: Can't resolve 'dns'),
breaking next build and therefore e2e and both Docker arch builds.
Move the two pure data maps (WIDGET_MODULE_BY_ID, SUMMARY_TYPE_MODULE) into
@/lib/dashboard/widget-modules, which imports only the ModuleKey and
MeasurementType types. snapshot.ts re-exports both for the server call sites
and the existing tests; the client component imports from the new module.
The dashboard's recent-workouts and steps tiles painted regardless of
the workouts module state; AND the resolved per-account flag into both
gates (fail-open — only an explicit false hides the tile).
Extend the snapshot module maps to cover the recovery domain: the
cardioRecovery / sixMinuteWalk / stairAscentSpeed / stairDescentSpeed
widgets and their HealthKit measurement types now resolve to the
recovery module, and the per-night breathing-disturbance widget + type
resolve to sleep. A new guard test asserts every toggleable-domain
widget id carries a mapping and every mapped value is a real module
key, so a future device widget cannot leak onto a disabled account.
Resolve the per-user module map in the dashboard snapshot builder and
strip every toggleable module's tile + data before the payload leaves
the server, so a disabled module never reaches the client.
- mood / sleep / glucose / achievements / workouts widgets are forced
invisible on both the web layout and the iOS catalogue when their
module is off; the persisted layout is untouched.
- sleep / glucose summary types drop out of the slim slice, so the
derived metricStates and the client data-floor gates also drop them.
- the glucose clinical panel and per-context block are cleared when
glucose is off; the mood block is emptied when mood is off.
- the Daily Briefing falls back to its disabled state when the insights
module is off (alongside the existing operator flag + coach opt-out);
raw vitals stay untouched — insights is the narrative layer.
Core widgets (weight, BP, pulse, body-fat, medications, BP-in-target)
carry no module mapping and always render.
The dashboard snapshot and the /api/mood/analytics route each carried a
hand-copied rollup read, coverage fallback, and daily summarize of the
same numbers. Two reads of one metric is the seam where the dashboard
tile and the insights mood sparkline can drift apart.
Extract buildMoodDailySeries as the single mood engine and route both
callers through it, so the same mood number reads identically on the
dashboard, the insights surface, and the iOS client.
Add WHOOP-native DAY_STRAIN (0-21) to the Coach snapshot as a dedicated
dayStrain block, kept distinct from the computed STRAIN_SCORE (0-100) and
preferred native-over-computed, mirroring recovery resolution. Document the
glucose.clinical panel (TIR/GMI/eA1C/CV) plus the stillLearning and
isSpotEstimate gates in the system prompt, and the native dayStrain scale in
the derived paragraph. Extend the DE and FR/ES/IT/PL evidence-block unit lists
with mg/dL, mmol/L and min so a non-English coach can cite glucose and duration
values. Export GLUCOSE_PANEL_WINDOW_DAYS as the single source for the 30-day
clinical-panel window and import it across the analytics route, dashboard
snapshot, and Coach snapshot. Compute the derived metrics concurrently.
Review follow-up to the shared entry-instant guard. The past-floor refine
re-ran the full plausibility predicate, so a future-dated instant tripped
both refines and the 422 carried a nonsensical "too far in the past" message
alongside the correct future one. The floor refine now checks the past bound
alone; a future value emits only the future message, matching the pre-refactor
single-message contract.
Also harden the Health-Score BP inputs and de-duplicate the tile-window
derivation surfaced in the same review:
- the prior-week graded score now keys off the prior-week window's own
sufficiency rather than the current window's, so the week-over-week graded
delta never pairs a confident current value against a thin-sample prior one;
- the BD-Zielbereich 90-day count + effective span derive through one shared
`deriveBpWindow90` helper, so the dashboard snapshot and the analytics thick
slice can never compute the gate or the label span differently.
The BD-Zielbereich tile narrated a static "· 90 T" scope even for a user
with only a few weeks of history or a handful of readings — a headline that
reads like a stable quarter-long average when it is really a thin sample.
Add a shared, reusable window-confidence helper that, given a window length
and the readings observed inside it, returns the EFFECTIVE label span (the
real calendar span capped at the window, so "· 23 T" until ~90 days of
history exist) and a sufficiency flag (false below five readings). The helper
is metric-agnostic so the glucose time-in-range / GMI and sleep tiles can
reuse it.
Wire it into the in-target headline: below the confidence floor the tile
shows "sammelt noch Daten" instead of a hard percentage, with the dynamic
span label; above it the percentage shows with the real span. The
Health-Score BP pillar reads the same sufficiency notion through the shared
input builder, so a thin-data user no longer gets a confident pillar grading
off a few readings — the all-time rate still rescues a deep-history account
with a quiet quarter. The 90-day pair count and effective span thread from
the analytics route and the dashboard snapshot through to the tile.
