storage/markup holds the display mode (all, simple, none, original) plus, per kind, whether it shows and where its cards go; markupView folds that into what the page acts on. Bars, leader and both panes ask reviewItems instead of the document, the page takes the hiding attributes, and trackChanges drops its author decoration where the mode shows a finished text.
