Drop the dedicated page's top header bar and the conversation-history strip. The composer now carries the controls: a leading actions menu (new chat + open conversations) and a settings deep-link beside the mic and send. Conversation history opens as a left slide-in drawer that works on phone and desktop. Pin the composer to one centred, max-width-capped column shared with the thread so its width stays constant from the new-chat hero into an active conversation. The drawer surface keeps its own header and body chrome unchanged.
