A twice-daily card advances its display-due to the evening slot once the
morning slot's catch-up window has lapsed, so a late-morning "Genommen"
tap posts `scheduledFor = <evening slot>` with `takenAt = now`. Band
attribution correctly refuses the take (it lands in no window), but the
intake routes' source-agnostic convergence probe then bound it to the
evening slot's pending REMINDER row — recording the morning dose as the
evening one, silently consuming a slot the user had not reached, and
jumping the dashboard "next intake" to the following day.
Gate the convergence probe with `mayConvergeOntoSuppliedSlot`: a taken
write may not converge onto a slot whose anchor is in the future relative
to the take (the same forward-grace invariant `resolveCanonicalSlotInstant`
already enforces). Off-window late takes now record standalone (ad-hoc),
leaving both real slots intact; skips and pending echoes still name their
slot deliberately. Applied to both the per-medication and bulk intake
routes.
Chromium's PDF viewer steals focus while it initialises — before the
frame's load event fires (and in environments without a PDF plugin the
load event may not fire at all), so a load-armed guard never engaged and
Escape stayed dead after opening a preview. The guard now opens when the
preview mounts, extends on load, bounces any focus landing on the frame
back to the dialog for its duration, and ends early on a deliberate
pointer interaction with the preview.
Chromium's PDF viewer grabs focus asynchronously once the inline preview
initialises, stranding keyboard events inside the embedded document —
Escape stopped closing the detail sheet the moment a PDF rendered. Watch
for the steal over a short bounded window after load and hand focus back
to the dialog container; a user who clicks into the PDF afterwards is
left alone.
The filter bar derived its condition chips from the loaded corpus, so an
episode whose only linked documents sat pages deep in the timeline never
surfaced a chip — the condition route into an older document silently
disappeared at four-digit corpus sizes. The usage endpoint (already read
on page mount) now returns `linkedEpisodes` — every episode carrying at
least one live document link, one indexed grouped query, no blobs — and
the view unions it with the active-filter fallback. Additive DTO change;
OpenAPI regenerated.
Concurrent uploads all read the same pre-insert usage SUM, so a burst
could overshoot the per-user quota by rate-limit x cap in one window. A
transaction-scoped advisory lock keyed on the user id serialises the
sum-and-insert; uploads by different users never queue on each other.
Integration probes pin both races: four parallel uploads against a
two-file quota land exactly two, and two racing identical uploads
collapse onto one row via the partial unique index.
Also aligns the round-trip integration test with the serve-route CSP
posture: the proxy carve-out owns the response CSP, the route sets none.
On phones the four score rings wrapped into a 2-up grid clustered in
the centre with dead margin on either side. They now spread evenly
across the full width — equal space before, between, and after — so the
block reads symmetric on all four sides instead of centred; desktop's
right-aligned row is unchanged.
The one-shot deep-link consumption moves to the render-phase derived-
state pattern the view already uses for its search draft (the effect
variant trips the set-state-in-effect rule), gated on resolved auth so
a deep link never burns before the module flag is known.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T4
The two vault knobs become editable where operators already work: the
app-settings card gains the per-file upload cap (MB, 1-100, mirrors the
hard server ceiling) and the default per-account storage quota (GB,
commit-on-blur with clamped conversion to bytes); the user edit form
gains the per-user quota override (GB, empty = instance default). The
admin users list now carries the override so the form can show it.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T7
/labs gains a quiet link to the LAB_RESULT-filtered vault view (the
original report PDFs behind the values); the health-record export panel
links to the vault filtered to the current year next to its date-range
picker (navigation only — attaching documents to the export is out of
scope here). Both render only when the documents module is enabled for
the account, in all six locales.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T5
The illness-episode detail gains a Dokumente card: the episode's most
recent linked documents as compact rows (deep-linking into the vault,
where ?doc= now opens the detail sheet directly), a link-existing picker
(searchable, toggle rows driving the idempotent bulk link/unlink), an
upload entry that lands pre-linked via the episode filter, and a
filtered show-all view. Module-gated — accounts without the documents
module see nothing. An episode without documents keeps a quiet one-line
affordance instead of an empty card. The preview and picker reads get
their own query keys; reusing the vault list key would collide with the
infinite-query shape.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T4
Roving tabindex over the card grid: arrows move (grid-aware by measured
column count), Home/End jump, Enter opens, Space selects, Delete removes
with the undo toast; focus rides the virtualizer window (scroll-to-row,
bounded retry focus). The container carries list semantics with a
translated label, and the transient upload queue stays a polite live
region. Selection state is conveyed by the per-card checkbox, which the
focus ring reveals for keyboard users.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T3
Selection grows file-manager gestures — shift-click ranges (additive,
anchored on the last plain toggle) and press-and-hold on touch — and a
floating toolbar appears with the selected count and the bulk verbs:
change type, link condition, delete, clear. All verbs drive the bulk
endpoint in <=100-id chunks with merged per-id results; partial failures
surface as one counted toast, and a bulk delete gets one aggregate undo
that bulk-restores the succeeded rows (both sides no-op-safe by
contract). Escape clears the selection unless a dialog owns the key.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T2
On desktop the four rings sat 12px apart and the briefing section
followed the greeting row at the intra-block distance — the band read
top-heavy against its own symmetric padding. Rings now space at 24px
on md+ and the section gap steps up to match the card inset, so the
head zone and the briefing zone separate at the same rhythm the
padding sets.
The cached-snapshot read moved from the API route body into
src/lib/dashboard/snapshot-read.ts (shared by the route and the
dashboard RSC prefetch); the bidirectional allowlist follows the
user.disableCoach read to its new home.
H4
Dragging files anywhere over /documents raises a dimmed full-page drop
overlay (Escape dismisses); dropping or pasting files/screenshots feeds
the same upload queue as the picker, pre-linked to the active condition
filter. The overlay is decorative (aria-hidden) — intake announces
through an sr-only live region. Copy translated in all six locales.
Refs: document-vault plan W3-T1
The dynamic /i18n/[locale] route handler answered with Next's default
Cache-Control (private, max-age=0, must-revalidate) and no validator —
its immutable-cache header was overridden, so a non-PWA browser would
re-download the full catalog on every hard load. Static public/ files
keep an ETag (repeat loads revalidate to a 304) and the service
worker's cache-first rule covers the offline relaunch; the ?v= build
key the layout appends busts both per deploy.
scripts/generate-i18n-boot.mjs writes public/i18n/<locale>.js for all
six locales as a prebuild/predev step (the sw-version.js pattern);
output is gitignored. The route handler is removed.
Measured on a production build, authenticated DE session: dashboard
document 522 KB raw / 139 KB gz -> 170 KB raw / 24.6 KB gz; the DE
catalog moves into a one-time 119 KB gz cached asset.
H2
The proxy's serve-route carve-out owns the response CSP (default-src
'none'; frame-ancestors 'self'; no sandbox — Chromium force-downloads
sandboxed PDFs), and middleware headers overwrite route headers, so the
route-level sandbox value never reached a client. Remove it and point
both the route and its header-matrix test at the proxy pin.
Refs: document-vault plan W1-T10 posture reconciliation
The blanket X-Frame-Options: DENY + frame-ancestors 'none' refused the
detail preview's same-origin <iframe>, and the middleware page CSP
clobbered whatever the serve route set — the inline PDF preview rendered
as a permanent skeleton. Carve out exactly the /original path:
SAMEORIGIN framing, frame-ancestors 'self', and a document CSP of
default-src 'none'. Deliberately NO sandbox directive and no sandbox
attribute on the preview iframe — Chromium force-downloads PDFs in
sandboxed documents instead of rendering them (verified against a real
Chromium channel; headless test builds ship no PDF viewer at all). The
load-bearing boundaries for user-uploaded bytes are unchanged:
magic-byte classification at upload, true Content-Type + nosniff at
serve, HTML/SVG denied entirely, attachment-only posture for every
non-passive format. Tests pin the carve-out and that every neighbouring
path keeps the DENY posture.
Plan-Task: W2-T3 (preview integration)
The measured first-load gap on / was never the server: FCP painted the
SSR shell at ~1.8 s but LCP landed at ~5.5 s (mobile-throttled) because
the tiles waited for JS download + hydrate + a CLIENT-side snapshot
fetch — while /api/dashboard/snapshot answers in ~8 ms server-side.
src/app/page.tsx is now a thin RSC wrapper: it runs the same cached
snapshot read the API route uses (extracted to
src/lib/dashboard/snapshot-read.ts, one shared SWR cell for both
readers) and hands the result to TanStack via HydrationBoundary +
dehydrate, so the first HTML carries real tile data and the mounted
cell starts warm (staleTime 60 s, refetchOnMount false — no double
fetch). Query keys come only from the central factory
(dashboardSnapshot(locale) + the dashboardWidgets seed the client cell
already performs); the payload is JSON-round-tripped so the hydrated
shape is byte-equal to the wire shape. Fail-soft: no session or any
builder error renders the page exactly as before. The 1,727-line client
page moves unchanged to src/app/page-client.tsx; no component-tree
rewrite.
Companion: the documented bundle tooling was dead on Turbopack
(ANALYZE=1 silent no-op, bundle-report read a webpack-only JSON), so
H2/H3-class regressions shipped invisibly. scripts/check-bundle-budget.mjs
derives per-route gzip totals from the Turbopack client-reference
manifests + rootMainFiles, prints the report (pnpm bundle-report), and
enforces bundle-budget.json (pnpm bundle-check): per-route caps,
total-client-JS cap, a recharts-duplication guard (fingerprint count
must stay 1), and a catalog guard (no message catalog referenced by any
route manifest). Wired into the existing e2e workflow after next build.
H4
Two independent every-load costs, one per layer:
1. The static EN import in load-locale.ts put the full en.json catalog
(334 KB raw / ~106 KB gz) into the client JS of EVERY route, for
every user in every language. No catalog is statically imported by
client code anymore: the EN fallback floor of the t() chain loads
lazily on the first actual key miss (the locale-integrity guard
keeps every locale key-complete, so the miss path is drift-only),
and the labs biomarker canonical-name lookup fetches EN on demand.
2. The root layout serialized the ENTIRE active-locale catalog into the
RSC flight payload of every document (392 KB of a 505 KB dashboard
HTML, re-downloaded on every hard load, uncacheable). The handoff is
now a versioned, immutable-cacheable boot script
(/i18n/<locale>?v=<build>, new route handler) that assigns
self.__HL_I18N before the hydration scripts run, plus a server-side
cache seed in load-locale.ts behind a typeof-window branch that
Turbopack compiles out of the browser bundle (verified: zero catalog
bytes in any client chunk, zero route manifests referencing one).
SSR text stays correct and the first client render holds the same
bundle the server rendered with — no EN flash, no hydration drift.
The boot script is public (proxy allowlist: the login page needs it
pre-auth; the body is the same catalog JSON that ships in the public
repo) and cache-first in the service worker, so an offline relaunch
finds it next to the cached shell.
Measured (client-reference manifests, gzip): route JS baseline
/ 391->287 KB gz, /insights 377->273, /measurements 379->275,
/insights/mood 394->290 — the ~104 KB gz EN catalog left every route.
H2
Every next/dynamic chart import used to point at its own module, so
Turbopack emitted a separate chunk group per boundary — the production
build carried EIGHT ~312 KB copies of the recharts module graph, and
/insights (the worst-LCP route) downloaded two of them (~92 KB gz of
pure duplication, one fully unused at load).
All chart loaders now resolve the single chart-runtime barrel
(src/components/charts/chart-runtime.ts), which owns the only path to
recharts: one shared chunk group, recharts exists exactly once in the
build (verified: 8 -> 1 recharts-fingerprinted chunks), cached across
routes. Charts stay recharts and stay pixel-identical; every call site
keeps its own matching skeleton and ssr:false flag.
Riders of the same rule:
- the mood-trio barrel (mood-charts.ts, the v1.16.7 precedent this
generalises) folds into the runtime and is removed
- the vitals sparkline body extracts to delta-sparkline.tsx and loads
through the runtime; the tile keeps the fixed 40 px band, so the
async gap is an identically-sized empty box
- /cycle's BBT chart (the last static recharts import on a live route)
defers through the runtime with a card-matching skeleton
H3
The parked inbound-documents view (upload form + staged-fact review UI)
and its helpers leave the tree; /documents renders only the vault. The
extraction routes stay dark server-side with no UI entry points, per the
release plan. Orphaned i18n keys left with the locale rewrite in the
previous commit; the reverse-coverage guard pins the result.
Plan-Task: W2-T7
The page becomes one wide, calm filing-cabinet view: PageHeader with an
Upload action, a drop-target upload zone whose accept list and per-file
cap come from the usage endpoint (quota bar only above 80 %), a sticky
filter rail (200 ms debounced search focused by '/', nine type chips,
condition chips from linked episodes, a year segmenter, one-tap clear),
and the virtualized timeline below. Filter state lives in the URL so
every view is shareable and back-button-safe; uploads filtered to an
episode arrive pre-linked. Hovering a card prefetches detail metadata —
never the blob. Designed states: a skeleton grid that matches the loaded
layout, a teaching empty state, a distinct no-matches state, and a
retryable error card. /documents joins the shell's wide-container list;
the shell stays the single owner of the page frame. Locale bundles gain
the vault vocabulary in all six languages and drop the retired
extraction-review strings.
Plan-Task: W2-T1, W2-T4 (zone), W2-T5 (prefetch), W2-T6
ResponsiveSheet (bottom sheet on phones, dialog on desktop): inline-class
documents preview against the owner-scoped serve route — skeleton first,
internal scroll only; attachment-class documents get no fake preview,
just glyph, filename, size, and a prominent Download. Title edits
click-to-edit and commit on Enter/blur, kind and filing date save on
change, condition links PATCH as a replace-set with chips navigating to
the episode page. Delete soft-deletes behind an Undo toast; a refused
restore translates the purged / duplicate reasons. Mutation errors stay
inline. No share affordance — deliberately.
Plan-Task: W2-T3
The timeline windows a flat item list (month labels + chunked card rows)
with @tanstack/react-virtual over the shell's scroll container — single
scroll owner, bounded DOM at four-digit corpus sizes. Columns are
measured by a ResizeObserver so the row model and the painted grid never
disagree. Cards are compact-density: kind glyph, foreground title, one
muted meta line, condition pills, a download-only badge for attachment-
class formats, and a hover/focus selection checkbox above the whole-card
click target. In-flight and failed uploads share the same footprint with
a live progress ring and translated failure copy.
Plan-Task: W2-T2, W2-T4 (upload cards)
One multipart XHR POST per file (real upload-progress events, no new
dependency), concurrency capped at 3 to match the server's memory
envelope, an Idempotency-Key per file so a retried blip cannot
double-store, and a canvas downscale to 3000 px longest edge for raster
photos only — PDFs, Office files, and GIFs upload verbatim. Entries
appear synchronously before any network work; an over-limit file fails
locally against the configured cap while the batch continues; a
duplicate resolves to the existing row and hands its id to the timeline
for a brief highlight.
Plan-Task: W2-T4 (manager half)
URL-backed facets (q / kind / episode / year) parse and serialise through
one pure helper pair so deep links round-trip byte-stable; the API search
builder pins the timeline sort. Month bucketing + row chunking feed the
virtualized grid as a flat item list. The upload-response parser owns the
duplicate contract: HTTP 200 with envelope-level meta.duplicate returns
the existing row, every 413/415 reason maps to a translated-copy class,
and proxy-stripped bodies fall back to the HTTP status. Query keys move
to the vault filter shape and gain the usage read.
Plan-Task: W2-T1 (URL state), W2-T5 (keys)
The 16×16 checkbox on the measurement/mood/values row selectors sits
below the WCAG 2.5.8 24 px minimum. Reuse the switch's ::before
hit-area extension: the visual box stays 16 px, the pointer target
grows to 32×32 without any layout shift.
The correlation-card header's right slot kept its icon-era shrink-0
after v1.22 replaced the info glyph with an inline caption — the
unshrinkable badge+caption row escaped the card's right edge by
14–39 px at 390/360 across all five cards and squeezed the title to a
2-line 36–42 % sliver. The caption now stacks under the title below sm
(only the compact strength badge stays pinned right); on >=sm the
inline layout is unchanged.
Same surface: the discovered-relations stat caption ('{n} gepaarte
Tage · r · q') stacks below its finding sentence on phone widths
instead of wrapping to a 4-line sliver at ~25 % of the row, and the
subsection caveat caption stacks under the subheading instead of
wrapping 9 lines beside it.
The phone-width density guard now sweeps /insights/mood too, with
mocked correlation + discovery payloads pinning the populated worst
case (five cards, three mood pairs) so the guard cannot pass vacuously.
H6
Recharts tick/label/tooltip colours in the scatter-correlation chart,
the three mood charts, and the admin host-metrics chart referenced the
raw Dracula primitives (--dracula-fg / --dracula-comment), which the
light theme never overrides — near-white text on a near-white card
(~1.0:1) and an AA-failing comment gray (~2.5:1). Swap all 23 sites to
--foreground / --muted-foreground. Dark theme is pixel-identical: the
semantic tokens alias the same Dracula values there (#f8f8f2 /
#9aa3b3); light resolves to the AA-checked soft-neutral values.
H5
A failed /api/auth/me now only counts as a session END on an explicit
401/403. Network-level failures (offline relaunch fetch TypeError, the
service worker's synthetic 503 offline envelope, abort/timeout) and 5xx
carry no session verdict: the hook holds the last-known auth state via a
non-sensitive localStorage marker instead of flipping unauthenticated.
Pre-fix, an airplane-mode relaunch of the installed PWA redirected to
/auth/login and ran clearCachesForSessionEnd(), wiping the SW data/page
caches and the IndexedDB query snapshot — the entire offline read path
was unreachable in exactly the scenario it exists for.
- use-auth: isAuthVerdictUnknown() classification, was-authenticated
marker (set on every successful /me, cleared on session end),
isAuthUnknown exposed for the shell
- auth-shell: the wipe runs only on a real verdict; a non-verdict
failure without a prior-session marker redirects without wiping
- explicit logout and true 401/403 expiry wipe exactly as before
H1
Full-catalogue coverage pass against the v4 data-types index. Three types
map onto existing MeasurementTypes and are now fetched in the metrics
bundle:
- blood-glucose -> BLOOD_GLUCOSE. `bloodGlucoseMilligramsPerDeciliter` is
already the canonical mg/dL storage unit; meal/timing/specimen enums are
not stored.
- core-body-temperature -> BODY_TEMPERATURE. `temperatureCelsius`, the core
slot — distinct from the surface-temperature buckets.
- daily-sleep-temperature-derivations -> WRIST_TEMPERATURE. The documented
`nightlyTemperatureCelsius` is an ABSOLUTE reading (the mean of the
night's skin-temperature samples), which refutes the earlier deviation-
only premise behind the launch omission. The baseline/stddev derivations
are not stored — the user's own series carries the baseline.
Every other catalogue type is now an explicit documented skip in
mapping.md with its reason (per-sample twins of the chosen daily grains,
zone-minutes types without a HealthLog concept, total-calories folding in
BMR, hydration/nutrition without a module, ECG/IRN behind their scope
policy). The structure probe iterates the type table, so the three new
types are probed automatically.
Daily HRV and resting heart rate returned HTTP 200 with zero imports on a
live Fitbit-band account. Full reconciliation against the v4 reference
(data-types index, DataPoint schema, list/reconcile/dailyRollUp pages)
surfaces three defects:
- The daily-summary `.date` filter prefix is the docs' own contradiction:
the data-types index's filter-parameter column says snake_case
(`daily_heart_rate_variability`), while the list reference's only worked
daily example is `dailyHeartRateVariability.date < "2024-08-15"` — the
camelCase payload key. Live, the snake form is accepted (200) but matches
nothing. Send the worked-example camelCase form first and re-walk once
with snake_case if the very first page 400s; annotate the accepted style
(`googleHealth.dateFilter.style`) and surface it through the structure
probe as `requestShape` so a live account settles the grammar.
- `daily-respiratory-rate` reads `breathsPerMinute` (a plain number); the
previously assumed `dailyRespiratoryRateBpm` leaf does not exist, so
RESPIRATORY_RATE never parsed a single row.
- `height` carries `heightMillimeters` (int64 string), not `heightMeters`;
the heightCm profile seed never fired. Convert mm -> cm.
Also cover the documented Exercise.ExerciseType catalogue in the sport map
(MOUNTAIN_BIKE, TRAIL_RUN, TREADMILL_WALK, STATIONARY_BIKE, SWIMMING_POOL,
FREE_WEIGHTS, CROSSFIT, TABATA_WORKOUT, ...) — the enum's multi-word values
previously fell through to "other".
Tests pin the documented field names per fixture, the camel-first/snake-
fallback walk (including no-fallback for sample shapes and unfiltered
backfills), and the extended sport map. mapping.md records the filter
contradiction and the corrected leaves.
The documents route table picks up every delta: conditionLinks +
servingClass on the document DTO (render/download by servingClass, never
by MIME guess; unknown kind values decode as OTHER), the broadened upload
accept-set with the 413/415 error contract and the 200+meta.duplicate
dedupe outcome, episodeIds on upload and PATCH (replace-set), the kind[] /
episodeId / year list facets, the class-aware /original posture, and the
new /restore, /bulk, and /usage endpoints. Regenerated docs/api/openapi.yaml
committed alongside; openapi:check is clean.
Task: W1-T14.
inboundDocuments leaves CODE_DISABLED_MODULE_KEYS (parked there since
v1.25.3). The normal two-layer resolution applies again: the module ships
dark (opt-in, per-user default off) and an operator false still disables
it server-wide; nothing becomes user-visible without an explicit opt-in.
The gate tests now pin the re-enabled behaviour instead of the hard-off
short-circuit.
Task: W1-T2.
The admin settings GET/PUT carry documentMaxFileBytes (1 MiB – 100 MiB;
the hard ceiling exists because single-shot GCM + bounded in-memory reads
are load-bearing past it, and the upload-time resolver clamps again as
defence-in-depth) and documentQuotaBytes (10 MiB – 1 TiB instance
default). The admin user PUT accepts a nullable per-user quota override;
null clears it back to the instance default. Cookie-only requireAdmin()
guards both surfaces as before — Bearer tokens cannot reach them.
Task: W1-T13.
Delete in the vault is undo-able: DELETE tombstones, the restore endpoint
clears the tombstone, and this pg-boss job (daily 04:10 Europe/Berlin,
single-flight like every other cleanup) hard-deletes tombstones older than
30 days — returning the TOAST space the encrypted blob holds. Until then a
tombstoned row keeps counting against the quota, so deleted bytes are
never invisible backup weight. Staged facts cascade via the FK;
restore-after-purge answers 409 at the API.
Task: W1-T12.
The registry entry for InboundDocument.contentEncrypted gains a codecField
marker: the column now holds two layouts (base64v1 string codec | binary2
binary codec), recorded per row, and its rows are up to cap-sized blobs.
scan/rotate walk such a column with id-cursor pagination (25 rows per
page — never an unbounded blob findMany) and re-encrypt each row under its
OWN codec; an unknown codec value is counted as an error and the row left
untouched, same fail-closed posture as a missing key. The walk is
idempotent, so an interrupted run resumes on re-invocation with the
already-active rows skipped.
Both rotation paths share the logic: the admin-triggered pg-boss job via
rotateCorpus() and the CLI (scripts/rotate-encryption-key.ts), which now
calls the shared batched walk for this column. The registry guard test
keeps schema, registry, and script in lock-step as before.
Unit coverage over a mocked 500-row corpus asserts the batch boundedness
(take + advancing cursor per page), both-codec rotation, per-row
fail-closed on unknown codecs, and interrupted-run resume.
Task: W1-T11.
POST [id]/restore clears the soft-delete tombstone inside the 30-day undo
grace; it answers 409 once the tombstone is purged (the undo window is
over) and 409 with meta.reason=duplicateExists when an identical live
document would collide with the live-dedupe index. Restoring an
already-live row is a no-op success, so a late undo toast never errors.
POST /bulk applies one action (setKind / linkEpisode / unlinkEpisode /
delete / restore) to up to 100 owner-scoped documents and reports per-id
outcomes — a partial failure never aborts the batch. GET /usage returns
usedBytes (tombstone-inclusive), the effective quota, the per-file cap,
and the accepted-extension list for picker accept attributes.
The serve route now derives its posture from the serving class: inline
types keep their true Content-Type and gain Content-Security-Policy:
sandbox as defence-in-depth for the PDF viewer context; attachment types
ALWAYS go out as application/octet-stream + Content-Disposition:
attachment. nosniff and private,no-store on both; RFC 5987 filename
handling unchanged; decrypt dispatches on the row codec and stays
fail-closed. Header matrix pinned per class in the route tests.
Tasks: W1-T8, W1-T9, W1-T10.
POST /api/documents/inbound now runs the policy layer end to end: bounded
read aborts at the admin-set cap (413 + meta.reason=fileTooLarge with the
limit), magic-byte classification (415 + unsupportedType), per-user quota
checked inside the insert transaction over every non-purged row —
tombstones keep counting, so deleted bytes are never invisible weight
(413 + quotaExceeded with the figures), sha256 dedupe (a same-bytes
re-upload answers 200 + meta.duplicate with the existing live row; the
partial unique index closes the race), an honoured Idempotency-Key, the
binary2 codec on write, and optional episodeIds[] pre-linking narrowed to
the caller's live episodes.
GET stops fetching the encrypted blob per row (omit: contentEncrypted —
a 50-row page dragged up to 50 × cap ciphertext before), learns kind[] /
episodeId / year facets on top of q/from/to, and returns conditionLinks +
servingClass on every DTO via one grouped link query (no N+1). PATCH gains
replace-set episodeIds with the same 404-shaped refusal for a foreign
episode. The extract path decrypts through the codec dispatcher.
The document-kind labels gain REFERRAL in all six locales.
Tasks: W1-T5, W1-T6, W1-T7.
The policy module (src/lib/documents/upload-policy.ts) is the one source of
truth for what the vault accepts and how it serves: Class A (PDF/JPEG/PNG/
WebP/GIF) renders inline; Class B (Office OOXML+CFB, text/CSV/Markdown/RTF,
TIFF, HEIC/HEIF, XML/JSON) is stored verbatim and leaves the origin only as
an opaque attachment download; executables, HTML/XHTML/SVG, and generic
archives are denied. Detection is magic-bytes first — the wire Content-Type
is never trusted; containers (ZIP → OOXML, CFB → legacy Office) and
extension-only text formats gate on the filename plus a no-NUL heuristic.
resolveDocumentLimits() reads the admin-tunable per-file cap (clamped to
the hard 100 MiB ceiling — single-shot GCM and bounded in-memory reads are
load-bearing past that) and the quota (user override ?? instance default).
crypto.ts gains the binary2 codec: encryptBytes/decryptBytes do AES-256-GCM
over raw bytes with a versioned key-id header, skipping the base64 detour
(−33 % at rest, one fewer copy). Same fail-closed discipline as the string
codec. The store dispatches per row on the explicit contentCodec column:
new uploads write binary2, pre-existing base64v1 rows keep decoding
byte-identically, and an unknown codec throws instead of guessing.
Exhaustive unit coverage: every accept class from real magic-byte fixtures,
every deny case (incl. the PDF-with-HTML-head, SVG-as-image, and
ZIP-renamed-docx polyglots), header-matrix source of truth, limit clamping,
codec round-trips both ways, crossed-codec and unknown-codec fail-closed.
Tasks: W1-T3, W1-T4.
The v1.22 inline explainer caption rendered INSIDE the delta line's
inline-flex row, so the short delta text ("-2 vs last week") wrapped
into a narrow four-line column beside the multi-sentence read on every
viewport. The wrapper now stacks: delta line with its trend icon on
