Marc-André Bombeck d3d32ff8e0 Reset the today-just-in fixture through the app, not behind its back
The mobile project read the day as final on a table with no sleep in it.
The rows were gone; what was left was the dashboard snapshot the desktop
run built from them. It carries the sleep-freshness the digest reads, it
lives in the analytics SWR bucket at sixty seconds fresh and an hour of
stale-serve, and a DELETE straight into Postgres does not touch it. So
the second project asked whether last night's sleep was in, and a cached
answer from the first project said yes.

The purge now goes through the bulk-delete route. That tombstones the
rows the way the management list does, recomputes the rollup buckets the
snapshot reads through, and hard-evicts the bucket, so the next read
rebuilds from the table rather than from the run before it. The
delete-by-external-id route names the rows the way this spec does, but it
invalidates without evicting, and a marked-stale cell is served while it
revalidates - the next read would still have been the stale one. The ids
come from SQL because the measurements list collapses overlapping sources
to one row per day and can hide a row that still counts.

The purge stays where it is rather than moving into the cleanup block:
the eviction only happens when the delete removes something, so tidying
up at the end of each run would leave the next one with nothing to delete
and the same stale snapshot.

The starting state is asserted, not assumed, and it stays that way.

Marc-André Bombeck 96c10f07e6 Give the today-just-in spec an account that earns a hero
The spec watched the day flip from provisional to final on a hero that
only its own subject was keeping on screen: the arrival marker was the
last thing in the calm-degrade guard holding the hero up for the bare
fixture account, so removing the arrival chip took the hero with it and
left the spec nothing to observe.

Putting the arrival back into the guard would bring back a worse
problem. An arrival-only digest lands in the compact all-clear
composition, which would tell someone with no readings at all that
everything is clear - a claim about their health made from nothing, and
made only on the days something happened to sync. The guard stays as it
is; the fixture was what was wrong.

So the spec now seeds its own precondition: one integration needing a
reconnect, which is an ordinary Today for anyone whose readings come
from a device. It is read fresh on every request rather than through the
dashboard snapshot cache, so unlike a seeded score or briefing it cannot
lose a race with a cached snapshot, and the rail item admits no module
gate and no dismiss path. The row is removed again afterwards.

While the spec was open: it now pins the state it starts from. It only
ever asserted that the pending-sleep note was absent at the end, which a
note that never rendered also satisfies. It asserts the note is up and
the day reads provisional first, so the two halves are one assertion
with the number flipped.

The component side is pinned in unit tests, since the spec needs a built
app and a database to run.

Marc-André Bombeck 4e934a191d Drop the just-in line from the Today hero
Under a number, 'Just in' did not say what had arrived - the score? a
reading? - and the clock face beside it changed nothing a person would
then do. The line is gone, and with it the only wall clock this surface
rendered.

What it was there for survives: the day still flips in place when last
night's sleep lands, and the pending-night note still says the number is
reading an incomplete day. An arrival on its own is no longer a reason
to paint a hero at all, so an account whose only news was the arrival
now gets nothing rather than a bordered empty card.

The digest still carries the arrival, which the morning line and the
wide event both read.

Marc-André Bombeck c60689affd Take the fitness pillar out of the health score
It could never score. The schema records VO2max but cannot tell a
measured test apart from a device estimate, so every fitness row reached
the scorer unproven and was refused - the pillar has never produced a
value on any account. Listing it on the score settings page as a thing
you can choose, with a line admitting it does nothing, was chrome over a
switch that changed no number.

So it leaves the catalogue: no pillar id, no domain, no scorer, no row,
no wire field. A stored selection that still names it reads back fine -
the resolver has always filtered stored ids against the catalogue and
drops what it no longer knows, so nobody's saved recipe throws or is
discarded over it.

That also fixes the page claiming unsaved changes forever. The save
stripped the fitness pillar out of the selection on its way to the
server, so the answer that came back could never match the form that
sent it, and 'All pillars' left the save button lit no matter how often
you pressed it.

Marc-André Bombeck 043d2ba143 Give the mobile cycle smoke test a verdict to render
The spec hand-builds a calendar response, and the wheel now reads the
resolved verdict from it. Without the field the ring paints empty, so the
fixture derives the verdict from the same phase plan it derives the day
grid from and the two cannot drift apart.

Marc-André Bombeck 5424ab0b60 Assert the settings heading that the width actually shows
The shell renders the heading pair twice under distinct ids, one column
hidden below the medium breakpoint and one hidden above it, so exactly one is
ever on screen. The spec asserted the desktop id alone: green on the wide
project, red on the narrow one against a heading that is hidden by design.

It now follows whichever of the two the viewport reveals, and asserts that
exactly one is visible, so a real duplicate would still fail.

Marc-André Bombeck bf0a637bab Keep the score's own coverage honest about what it counts
The composite's coverage counts distinct areas of health, not pillars.
The learning line called them pillars, so an account recording blood
pressure, glycaemia and cholesterol read that it had one eligible pillar
while three sat in front of it. The count was right and stays; the noun
was wrong.

The meter beneath the score carried the same confusion further. Its
fraction is the three-area minimum the score requires, and a score only
exists once that floor is met, so it rendered as full coverage for every
account that has one. The arithmetic is untouched. Below the floor the
fraction is a real number and is shown as one; at or above it, the floor
is stated. The dots and the percentage were always honest, they track how
much history is behind the number, and they stay.

Both are held down by an AST guard rather than a text search, with a
counter-test for the neighbouring lines that are legitimately about
pillars and legitimately about a real fraction.

Marc-André Bombeck 842a24f1d1 Wait for a page's placeholders before measuring its height
The over-scroll guard measured a settings page while two of its cards were
still showing their loading state, and read a height that no longer existed a
moment later. The page was blamed for a second scroll surface it did not have.

The gate waited on the layout shell, which is present long before the data
under it, and its own documentation says a sentinel has to be something the
measurement depends on. It now also waits for the loading placeholders the app
marks in the markup, and gives up quietly rather than failing if one legitimately
stays, since a timeout would be a worse failure than the one being prevented.

Marc-André Bombeck 06fdeb0336 Pin the panel's rules with tests
Four things a person notices if they break: a pillar never shows up twice
anywhere in the panel, a failed read never lands in the not-scored list, the
panel does not push the page sideways at 360 pixels, and the whole thing is
there with the briefing switched off. Every one of them was broken on purpose
first to check the test actually goes red.

The label column is 8rem, not 7. Rendered in all six languages, 7rem clipped
the longest label in five of them, two of those by two pixels, which reads as
a bug rather than a truncation. The reserve is 480 pixels, measured against
the built panel rather than guessed: three rows come to 440 and six to 524.

The overview fixture now carries a health score, so the phone-width guard
measures a band with the panel in it instead of an empty column.

Marc-André Bombeck 0784cbcbb1 Say how many workouts the list holds and let a sport narrow it
The list hook already returned the canonical total and the page threw it
away, so the surface never said how much history it was showing. Render it
as a meta line above the rows.

The route and the hook already accepted a sport, with nothing to reach it.
Add the chip row. Its vocabulary comes from the unfiltered read, which is
the same query the list itself runs when no sport is chosen, so the row
costs no extra request and choosing a sport can never empty the row it was
chosen from. A filtered view falls outside the server prefetch and pays one
client fetch; a filter that matches nothing says so instead of borrowing the
first-run empty state.

Marc-André Bombeck a4bb2adcb2 fix(e2e): select the measured wrapper by data-slot, not by birth order
The navigation-geometry spec failed on a merge commit whose tree was
byte-identical to the branch head that had passed minutes earlier, so nothing had
regressed. The spec resolved the element it measures with
`main.firstElementChild`, independently in each of its two `page.evaluate` calls.
Any node mounting ahead of the wrapper between the two reads made it measure two
different elements, which is why the failure was 64 against 131.92 rather than a
two-pixel drift. A timing problem gives a small difference or a null; this was a
substitution.

The shell's content wrapper now carries a stable `data-slot`, both reads select
it by that, and the wait gates on the element rather than on scroll state alone.
The same positional pattern in the overscroll spec is fixed with it, so the class
is gone from the measurement paths rather than from one spec.

Re-running the job made it green, which is a workaround. This is the fix.

Marc-André Bombeck d10ae9e71c test(e2e): gate every measurement on its element, and keep it that way
Four specs navigated and then read the DOM once, with nothing in between
that waits for anything but the network. An idle network says nothing about
whether React has rendered, so the read can sample a tree that is still
mounting and the assertion then blames the application for a race inside the
test. Two such reads went red on consecutive CI runs, on different specs.

The settings over-scroll guard also slept a fixed 500 ms, which is the wrong
shape twice over: too long when the page is ready, too short on a loaded
runner, and it never says what it is waiting for.

The structural guard runs in the unit suite rather than in Playwright,
because e2e runs at PR-CI only and flaky counts as failed there — one
unguarded read otherwise costs a whole pipeline before anyone sees it. It
refuses to count a wait whose rejection is thrown away, since that reads
like a guarantee and is not one, and would leave the check defeatable by
appending a catch. The one deliberate swallow is on the allowlist with its
reason: a genuine regression there still fails at the width assertion below
it, which reports the measured number instead of a timeout message.

Marc-André Bombeck c941e7e5cb test(e2e): measure the heading caption atomically
The wrap assertion gated on the section heading, but the signals card paints a
skeleton heading first and swaps it for the resolved one — so the element could
detach between the visibility check and the measurement, and the skeleton
heading carries no action slot to measure in the first place. Gate on the
caption itself and read both rects in a single evaluate.

Marc-André Bombeck 29188b2262 fix(insights): let a section heading's trailing caption wrap instead of widening the page
The Insights overview panned sideways at every phone width. SectionHeading
pinned its trailing action slot with shrink-0, which sizes a flex item to its
max-content width. That slot was designed for a compact control, but every
caller passes prose today — the provenance method caption, the device-score
subtitle, the sleep-quality subtitle. A sentence at max-content measures
1229 px in English and 1464 px in German, and since the row sits inside the
AuthShell <main> — whose overflow-y:auto makes overflow-x compute to auto —
that width turned the page into a horizontal scroller. min-w-0 lifts the flex
min-width:auto floor so the caption wraps to the row instead; the parent's
flex-wrap still moves the slot to its own line before anything is squeezed.

The existing width guards could not see this. Both measured
documentElement.scrollWidth, which never budges when <main> absorbs the
overflow into its own scroll area, and the insights case ran against an empty
mocked payload that fits any viewport by construction.

- Add e2e/utils/horizontal-overflow.ts: asserts the document AND the <main>
scroll container, and names the widest offending element on failure.
- Add e2e/mobile-horizontal-overflow.spec.ts: sweeps /insights, /, /measurements
and /medications at 360/390/393/402/430 px against populated fixtures, plus a
canary proving the measurement can see through <main>, and a check that the
insights fixture really populates the page.
- Rewrite the cycle spec's empty payload as a populated one and sweep every
phone width; its /insights case moves to the new spec.
- Point mobile-density.spec.ts at the shared assertion — it carried the same
  document-only blind spot.

Marc-André Bombeck bc1633db40 fix(export): make the standard report a click, not a preselection
The scope picker arrived with the standard doctor's report already ticked,
so someone who opened the panel and pressed Generate sent material they
never chose. Nothing is selected now until a person selects it.

The template keeps its definition and loses its automatic application: it
sits on a button at the top of the picker, named, on both surfaces that
mount the picker, and it stays there so the standard set can be restored
after experimenting. One click still gets a complete doctor's report.

Generate and the share-link create refuse an empty scope, with the scope
line beside them saying what to do rather than reporting a failure after
the press; the line also describes the control, so the disabled state is
not silent for a screen reader.

Marc-André Bombeck 7b56f9ddbd test(export): stop the Gesundheitsakte specs racing hydration
Everything on that page is server-rendered, so a row is visible long before
the client boundary that owns it is live. A chevron click landed on inert
markup about one run in four, and a `boundingBox()` occasionally came back
null because the node had just been replaced.

The page is one client boundary carrying the export panel and the sharing
card, so the sharing card's own query is a sound signal that the surface is
wired. One helper opens the page and waits for it; every case on that route
goes through it, including the disclosure case that was already doing this
by hand.

Marc-André Bombeck e9b7d5f885 test(export): point the export specs at the surface they mean
Three of the picker assertions resolved to two elements and failed strict
mode; they now name the export mount, and a new case pins that each mount
carries exactly one of every id the picker renders.

The included-data disclosure case asserted a collapsed first render. The
panel opens on a first run on purpose — that is the only place the standard
template is applied, and a template behind a closed disclosure is opt-out
wearing a hat — so the case now asserts the contract that replaced it: open
on first render, and still a disclosure, closing and reopening under the
same control.

Marc-André Bombeck ffe99caccd fix(fhir): stop advertising a credential no client can obtain
The capability descriptor named `fhir:read` as the scope a narrow token needs
for the REST face. No code path mints a token carrying it — every mint grants a
wildcard, the medication ingest scope, or an MCP scope — so the face is
reachable by the owner's cookie session or a wildcard device token and by
nothing else. Advertising an unobtainable credential invites a client to go
looking for one. The constant stays where it belongs, as the fail-closed check
each route makes; the descriptor now reports the fact instead.

End-to-end coverage for the scope picker: the first run opens it expanded with
the fenced tier rendered and no group control over it, a group row clears the
44 px floor at 390 px, and a leaf grid opens from its chevron. All on stable
test ids rather than text a breakpoint can hide.

Marc-André Bombeck a23ee61184 test(e2e): route cleanup happens by construction, not per spec
A spec that arms `page.route(...)` in a `beforeEach` and never drops the
handler races its own teardown. The context closes, an async handler is
still awaiting, its next call rejects with "Test ended.", and Playwright
attributes that to the test that had just passed. With `retries: 2` plus
`failOnFlakyTests`, which spec bites is a matter of timing.

`e2e/setup/test.ts` re-exports Playwright's `test` extended with an auto
fixture that unroutes every page and the context after each test, and
clears the page event listeners a spec subscribes to; `expect` rides
along so a spec needs one import. Auto means a spec author cannot forget
it and does not have to know it exists. Every spec now takes `test` from
there, and `e2e-route-cleanup-guard.test.ts` keeps the import boundary
closed with an allowlist that carries its reason.

The per-file `afterEach` on the cycle spec goes away — leaving both would
read as not trusting the fixture.

Not covered: a page inside a context a spec builds itself. Only
`share-documents.spec.ts` does that, and it owns those contexts.

Marc-André Bombeck d0b45e36b3 feat(integrations): remove the moodLog integration
Mood has been a first-class module here for a long time, with entries,
structured tags, rated factors and notes. The bridge to the external moodLog
service had nothing left to add, and its Settings card was withdrawn in
a56e6fe61 on the promise of a dedicated removal. This delivers it.

Removed: the hourly `moodlog-sync` queue, cron and handler binding; the
inbound webhook and its shared-secret handling; the reverse push and its four
call sites; the pull-sync module; the per-user credential routes and the
instance-wide toggle; the entry on the `/api/integrations/status` envelope,
the `IntegrationKey` union, the cadence map and the display-name table; the
boot-time secret rotation pass; 22 message keys per locale.

Migration 0271 drops the five `users` credential columns and
`app_settings.mood_log_global`, clears the ledger row for the provider, and
deletes the retired pg-boss schedule so no cron keeps enqueuing work no
handler drains.

Mood data is untouched. `mood_entries` is not named anywhere in the migration
and cannot be reached from it: the dropped columns carry no index, constraint
or foreign key, and `mood_entries.user_id` references `users(id)`, not any of
them. Rows the bridge imported keep `source = 'MOODLOG'`, and every read path
- list filter, source badge, exports, backups - still resolves that value.

`src/lib/validations/moodlog.ts` held the native mood-entry schemas alongside
the bridge's own; it is now `validations/mood.ts` and carries only the former.

Marc-André Bombeck 10593a11a8 test(integrations): cover the verdict ladder and the coverage guarantee
The load-bearing one is the panel-coverage test: render the panel with an
envelope carrying every integration key and require each configured one to
surface as a card or as a fallback row. Drop the fallback row and it goes red,
which is the whole point — the previous shape of this bug was a provider on
the wire that no screen rendered, and no card-shaped test could have caught it.

Alongside it: the ladder table with the month-silent fixture that resolves to
stalled, the 24-hour and 7-day boundaries asserted against literals rather than
the constants they check, the per-metric stale flag firing only under a healthy
provider, and a structural guard that the verdict-to-pill mapping is defined in
exactly one module.

The card suites migrate with the semantics: a transient failure now expects the
warning pill everywhere, and the Apple Health suite trades its bespoke badge
states for pill assertions. The e2e mocks gain the verdict shape, the
nightscout entry, and an assertion that the card-less row is on the page.

Marc-André Bombeck 663b3530dd test(daily): pin the just-in window, the degrade floor, and the hydration edge
Three properties, each with a mutation-verified guard:

The chip and the line run on DIFFERENT clocks and must keep doing so. The chip
expires after three hours; the line stands for the rest of the local day.
Collapsing them onto one clock reads like a simplification and silently deletes
the day's read at lunchtime.

Degradation is the headline. For every reason a line can fail to exist — no
provider, no consent, an exhausted budget, a dead provider, an unusable output
— the row stays line-less, the reservation is reconciled, and the chip and the
provisional-to-final flip still work. The degraded digest is built through the
real composer rather than a hand-shaped fixture, so the assertions cannot agree
with themselves.

The server pass carries no wall-clock time. The hero paints on the SSR pass
because it is the LCP element, so a locale-formatted time inside it would differ
from the browser's — React #418. The tests render through the server snapshot,
which is exactly the pass that must stay clock-free.

The seeded end-to-end spec lands a sleep batch through the real ingest route,
writes the arrival marker, and asserts the chip and the phase flip in place on
a refetch trigger the digest hook already declares — no reload, no new cadence.

Marc-André Bombeck 2b3ff0e58f fix(daily-loop): thread the overdue medication id into the digest's Log-dose link
The Today digest's dose-window rail item linked to the bare /medications

server-side alongside its name — a tap landed the user on a generic list
they then had to scan themselves.

buildMedsTodayBlock now carries nextDueMedicationId; the digest's
"Log dose" action links to /medications?highlight=<id> when the id is
known, falling back to the bare list for an older cached block. The
medications page reads the highlight param, scrolls the matching card
into view, and rings it briefly (mirrors the vault's duplicate-upload
highlight) in both the card grid and the table view. Regenerates
docs/api/openapi.yaml for the new medsToday field.

Marc-André Bombeck d470d406a7 Merge remote-tracking branch 'origin/main' into feat/documents-coach-bundle 2026-07-17 00:02:51 +02:00
Marc-André Bombeck d72f078764 feat(documents): open the doc-scoped Coach in the side drawer, not a full page
"Ask the Coach" on a document used to navigate to /coach?doc=<id> — a full-page
jump away from the vault. It now opens the real, doc-scoped conversation in the
shared side drawer, and the drawer's maximize control expands it to the full
/coach page while preserving scope.

- Thread an optional documentId through the launch context: askCoach gains a
fourth argument, the provider tracks it alongside prefill/scope and clears it
on close, and LayoutCoachMount forwards it to the drawer as initialDocumentId.
The open-state precedence moves into a pure resolveLaunchState helper.
- The vault detail sheet closes itself and calls askCoach(..., doc.id) instead
of routing away, so the drawer owns the surface.
- Maximize preserves continuity: the drawer reads the live conversation id via
a new imperative getter out of the conversation surface (parallel to the
reset registration) and hands off to /coach?c=<id> once a thread exists,
falling back to /coach?doc=<id> for a chat maximized before its first turn.

The send path is untouched: every document turn still routes through the
hardened fenced endpoint keyed on documentId — only where the conversation
renders (drawer vs page) changed. The documents-chat e2e now asserts the
drawer opens in place, doc-scoped, rather than a URL change.

Marc-André Bombeck b7a6b4c898 feat(coach): close the plan check-in loop on the Today rail
Every accepted coach plan now earns a gentle weekly check-in. Confirming a
plan (proposed → active) without an explicit review date defaults one to a
week out, so a plan is always reviewed, not only the coach's own experiments.

The daily digest emits a single `coach_checkin` rail item when a standing
plan's review has come due — its pinned review date, or a defaulted
activation + 7 days for plans that predate it, or the read-back state a
reviewed plan carries. Capped at one check-in a day across all plans
(earliest-due wins); the rest wait for a following day. It reads existing
plan state only — no fresh generation, nothing warms on mount, and it is
gated on the coach module.

The card offers three one-tap actions through the existing plan-lifecycle
route: keep it (re-arm for another week), adjust it (open the coach), or let
it go (a guilt-free, respected end — the calm inversion of a streak). An
ignored check-in sits quiet and stops resurfacing after about two cycles;
its status is never changed behind the user's back.

Copy lands in all six locales.

Marc-André Bombeck 1d592bef78 refactor(dashboard): retire the legacy opt-in hero
The digest-driven Today hero is the single promoted hero at the top of
the dashboard, so the old opt-in hero band is redundant — a user who had
opted in and has Insights on saw two heroes. Remove the legacy hero and
its heroVisible layout flag.

- Drop the DashboardHero / DashboardHeroSkeleton mount from the
dashboard page; the header now renders the greeting unconditionally
(its showGreeting gate is gone with the hero that owned it).
- Retire the heroVisible field from the dashboard layout (type,
defaults, resolver, serializer) and the widgets PUT schema. The
resolver is a whitelist constructor, so a stored heroVisible is
dropped on read and never re-persisted — no stored layout breaks.
- Delete the now-orphaned hero components (band, skeleton, ring
carousel, briefing spotlight) and their tests; drop the retired
  dashboard.hero copy across all locales.
- Remove the hero-visibility toggle from Settings → Dashboard. The
score-ring picker no longer hangs off that flag and stays available,
since the rings it configures still ride the server-computed
  dashboard snapshot.
- Repoint the phone-width density guard at the Today hero and mock the
  daily digest so it renders.
- Repoint the preserve-when-absent doc analogy off the removed field.

Marc-André Bombeck 168c1c85d7 feat(dashboard): promote a Today hero above the tile strip
Surface the day's read at the top of the dashboard: a Today hero that
renders the daily digest — the health score with an honest
provisional/final and sleep-pending face, the briefing lead with a
read-the-full-briefing affordance, and the worth-a-look rail of priority
cards. The dense tile grid and chart rows stay exactly where they are,
one scroll below, so muscle memory survives and no new nav destination
is added.

The hero reads one cached digest cell (GET /api/daily/digest) through the
centralised query-key factory and unwraps the envelope; it recomputes
nothing and never warms a provider on mount. It is gated on the insights
module and self-gates its empty state: a genuinely empty account renders
nothing rather than an alarming card, while an account with a score but
nothing notable gets a calm all-clear line in the rail's place. A shimmer
skeleton holds the footprint while the digest loads.

Priority-card actions wire to their existing destinations by construction
(log dose, reconnect a sync, view check-ups). New copy lands in all six
locales.

Marc-André Bombeck 5440ac9070 test(e2e): repoint document-chat spec to the Coach hand-off
The bespoke document-chat drawer was removed with Design A, so the old e2e
asserting the drawer overlay no longer applies. The spec now pins the
documents-side contract that replaced it: with a provider available the Coach
affordance hands off to the document-scoped Coach (/coach?doc=<id>), and with
no provider the AI area shows only the settings pointer and no Coach entry.

The Coach-side scope banner (the Document badge, "Chatting about", and the
not-indexed hint) moves to a coach-conversation component test, replacing the
drawer's not-indexed/render coverage; the fenced-send guarantee stays pinned by
the coach-send-target unit test.

Marc-André Bombeck 3e917969c7 fix(documents): surface the read-by-AI provenance in the detail view
v1.28.38 removed the purple AI-read glyph from the vault card (it looked
wrong there), but that glyph had been the only visible surface for the
'read by AI' provenance since v1.28.22 — the detail sheet's AI section
shows no status and collapses entirely under auto-read. Add a discreet
muted 'Read by AI' line under the document's uploaded-metadata in the
detail view (data-slot document-detail-ai-read), independent of the AI
section's collapse logic; reinstate documents.ai.statusAiRead in all six
locales. Card glyph stays removed. The e2e that asserted the card marker
now deep-links the document and asserts the detail-view line.

Marc-André Bombeck 7a6598f7c3 test(e2e): stabilise the profile-timezone sessions-card expand
The sessions card toggle's onClick could be dropped when Playwright
clicked before React hydrated the handler, leaving the region hidden for
the whole wait and failing intermittently in CI. Retry the click until
aria-expanded actually flips.
