Migration 0411 adds insights_cached_text_encrypted (AES-256-GCM, binary layout, purpose-bound label) and a partial discovery index; the free-text encryption backfill seals the existing rows one at a time, fail-closed, carrying updatedAt and guarded on the value it read. Every reader, writer and clear goes through cached-text-cipher.ts, and a guard keeps the column names there. The column joins the encrypted-column registry and the key-rotation script, stays out of backups as operational, and is reset by the data wipe. --- .../migration.sql | 26 +++++ prisma/schema.prisma | 13 ++- scripts/rotate-encryption-key.ts | 9 ++ .../insights-cached-text-access-guard.test.ts | 72 ++++++++++++ .../user-column-backup-classification.test.ts | 14 ++- src/app/api/auth/codex/device-poll/route.ts | 3 +- src/app/api/auth/codex/disconnect/route.ts | 3 +- .../__tests__/route-module-gate.test.ts | 1 + src/app/api/coach/about-me/route.ts | 3 +- .../insights/generate/__tests__/route.test.ts | 6 +- src/app/api/insights/generate/route.ts | 34 +++--- src/app/api/insights/settings/route.ts | 3 +- src/lib/consent/withdrawal.ts | 8 +- src/lib/crypto/encrypted-columns.ts | 20 ++++ src/lib/dashboard/snapshot-read.ts | 6 +- src/lib/data-wipe/wipe-plan.ts | 1 + .../restore-backup-round-trip.test.ts | 1 + src/lib/export/backup-plan.ts | 1 + src/lib/export/profile-backup.ts | 3 +- .../__tests__/cached-text-cipher.test.ts | 83 ++++++++++++++ ...ensive-briefing-grounding-disposal.test.ts | 6 +- .../comprehensive-briefing-reroll.test.ts | 12 +- .../comprehensive-budget-refusal.test.ts | 3 + .../comprehensive-generate-force.test.ts | 26 +++-- .../comprehensive-json-retry.test.ts | 3 + .../comprehensive-outbound-repair.test.ts | 10 +- .../comprehensive-plan-progress.test.ts | 3 + .../comprehensive-privacy-flip.test.ts | 3 + .../comprehensive-timeout-honored.test.ts | 3 + .../comprehensive-warm-timeout.test.ts | 3 + src/lib/insights/cached-text-cipher.ts | 105 ++++++++++++++++++ src/lib/insights/comprehensive-generate.ts | 39 +++---- .../free-text-encryption-backfill.test.ts | 99 +++++++++++++++++ src/lib/jobs/free-text-encryption-backfill.ts | 61 ++++++++++ .../profile/__tests__/health-facts.test.ts | 4 + src/lib/profile/health-facts.ts | 3 +- .../free-text-encryption-backfill.test.ts | 80 +++++++++++++ 37 files changed, 709 insertions(+), 64 deletions(-) create mode 100644 prisma/migrations/0411_encrypt_insights_cached_text/migration.sql create mode 100644 src/__tests__/insights-cached-text-access-guard.test.ts create mode 100644 src/lib/insights/__tests__/cached-text-cipher.test.ts create mode 100644 src/lib/insights/cached-text-cipher.ts diff --git a/prisma/migrations/0411_encrypt_insights_cached_text/migration.sql b/prisma/migrations/0411_encrypt_insights_cached_text/migration.sql new file mode 100644 index 000000000..dfd6ff1e1 --- /dev/null +++ b/prisma/migrations/0411_encrypt_insights_cached_text/migration.sql @@ -0,0 +1,26 @@ +-- The cached AI insights payload moves to AES-256-GCM at rest. +-- +-- `users.insights_cached_text` held the model's last full reading of the +-- account in the clear: the daily briefing, the per-domain status text and the +-- recommendations.
