From 84dae1668adc1dfc5cfc3167be2dd97c534395eb Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: =?UTF-8?q?Marc-Andr=C3=A9=20Bombeck?= Date: Sat, 8 Aug 2026 12:38:27 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] docs(mood): say what the seasonal floor gates, and what it deliberately does not MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit It gates the flag the forecast publishes, so a surface asking whether the history supports a weekday claim about THIS comparison asks one place. It does not retro-gate the weekday board the insights page has carried for releases — that board is built from the entry aggregates and has its own floors, and hiding it from accounts under ninety days would take a surface away from people already reading it to enforce a rule about a different calculation. And it does not justify building a second one. --- .../analytics/mood-prognosis/thresholds.ts | 21 ++++++++++++++++++- 1 file changed, 20 insertions(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/src/lib/analytics/mood-prognosis/thresholds.ts b/src/lib/analytics/mood-prognosis/thresholds.ts index 1d0d8e973..ebfbca2ee 100644 --- a/src/lib/analytics/mood-prognosis/thresholds.ts +++ b/src/lib/analytics/mood-prognosis/thresholds.ts @@ -54,7 +54,26 @@ export const MIN_ENTRIES_FOR_FORECAST = 30; /** Below this, a forecast is shown but labelled provisional. */ export const MIN_ENTRIES_FOR_REGULAR_FORECAST = 60; -/** Below this, no weekday and no seasonal comparison. */ +/** + * Below this, a weekday or seasonal comparison built on the forecast may not + * be shown. + * + * Two things it does NOT do, both worth stating because the omission is a + * decision rather than an oversight: + * + * * It does not retro-gate the weekday board the mood insights page has + * carried for releases.
